FanDuel NFL DFS Lineup Picks for Week 6 - Daily Fantasy Football

Patrick Mahomes - Fantasy Football Rankings, DFS Lineup Picks, NFL Injury News

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NFL DFS lineup picks for Week 6 of the 2021 season, and some value sleepers for your daily fantasy football rosters.

Week 5 was arguably the most intriguing slate we've seen all year, as it certainly didn't lack excitement. Looking back at some of the more memorable games on the schedule, the Rams and Seahawks kicked things off during a Thursday Night Football showdown. Unfortunately, we witnessed Russell Wilson fracture his finger, which will keep him on the shelf for the foreseeable future. We also observed the Falcons take care of business in London, dispatching the New York Jets 27-10. The Packers also sneaked by with an overtime victory over the Bengals, Chicago got it done in Las Vegas, and the Bills and Chiefs faced inclement weather during Sunday Night Football.

Heading into Week 6, there are a TON of injuries to consider that will make lineup construction nearly impossible until Sunday morning. Nonetheless, now is the time to start looking at how to attack the slate, although there are certainly more than enough variables to consider along the way.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 6 daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel’s “Main Slate.” These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. Be sure to also check out our weekly DraftKings DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big! Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @DennisMClausen. Also, be sure to check back on Saturday night for updates heading into Week 6.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 6 Picks

Patrick Mahomes, QB - @ WAS ($9,000)

While the Chiefs have had its fair share of struggles this year, Mahomes can't take all of the blame. Still, his team's shortcomings have been well documented, primarily since Kansas City has been one of the most explosive teams over the last few seasons.

Yet, despite Mahomes' issues throwing interceptions during his first five games on the year, the former MVP has done enough to keep him in the running as the top fantasy quarterback, and he has a good chance to have his most productive game of the season against the Football Team. While Kansas City has had some rough moments on the defensive end, Washington hasn't impressed in that area either. As a result, fantasy managers should save some cap space and roll with Mahomes in Week 6, and with all of the likely value options available, there should be no issue accomplishing that.

Aaron Rodgers, QB - @ CHI ($7,700)

Rodgers had plenty of turmoil surrounding him throughout the offseason. However, he ultimately opted to remain in Green Bay, where he will stay for at least the next 12 games. He didn't start the year off very well, and while he continues to play below the level of what we saw last year during his MVP run, he should command consideration against the Bears in Week 6.

The veteran has gone up against Chicago loads of times during his career. He's played well against the divisional rivals, too, and he has more touchdowns tosses versus the club than against any other team in the league. Rodgers is also carrying some strong projections from Vegas ahead of the matchup, so without a doubt, keep him on the radar for DFS contests of all types.

FanDuel Running Backs - Week 6 Picks

Jonathan Taylor, RB - vs. HOU ($7,500)

With the potential absence of so many able-bodied running backs, Taylor deserves mention based on pure availability alone. Yet, we also can't look past the fact that the Colts will square off against Houston, one of the worst teams in all the land.

The sophomore didn't start the year with a bang like many had expected. As a result, some managers were undoubtedly left questioning taking him as a first-round selection during fantasy drafts heading into the 2021-22 campaign. Fortunately, Taylor has gotten off the beaten path and has three touchdowns to his name throughout his previous two games. At this point, it's logical to assume that Indianapolis could take a sizable lead during the bout against the underwhelming Texans, and it could result in the Colts running more often, which of course, is good news for Taylor.

Devontae Booker, RB - vs. LAR ($5,900)

One of the biggest storylines in Week 5 was the injury to Saquon Barkley. The former Nittany Lion was poised for his most productive fantasy outing of the year against the Cowboys, mainly since the Giants were plagued with injuries heading into that one. Yet, Barkley would end up suffering an injury of his own, a low-ankle sprain, so he will likely be sidelined for at least a week, if not longer.

In his stead, Booker has emerged as the favorite to pick up the pieces. He carried the ball 16 times against Dallas, racking up only 42 yards. Still, the backup managed to find the end zone, which salvaged what would have been a rough outing. Nonetheless, with such a generous price tag for a guy who could be a featured offensive option, he shouldn't be ignored. However, this one isn't without risk, especially against an able Rams defense.

FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 6 Picks

Davante Adams, WR - @ CHI ($8,500)

As it relates to the wideout position, those partaking in DFS contests on Sunday really don't have much of a choice than to at least consider Adams. Tyreek Hill is also in danger of missing Week 6, so the veteran is the clear favorite to finish as the leading receiver on the slate once again.

Everyone saw what he did to Cincinnati in Week 5, and with that, he has now grabbed 29 of his 45 targets for a total of 402 yards and two touchdowns throughout the last three weeks. Sure, he's going to be a popular option. However, this is one you can't avoid, especially since passing on him could go terribly wrong.

Ja'Marr Chase, WR - @ DET ($7,800)

Chase is the current favorite to take home Rookie of the Year honors. His teammate, Joe Burrow, was in the same position last season. However, a knee injury ruined things. As a result, Burrow can live vicariously through his former LSU teammate, and he has done a great job helping the wideout become one of the most lethal threats at the position.

Throughout the first five weeks of the season, Chase has racked up five trips to the end zone, scoring at least a touchdown in all but one but one game so far. He also ranks fourth in yards per catch, seventh in total receiving yards, and seventh in yards per game. Many thought that Tee Higgins would be the Bengals top receiver this year. Yet, it's been Chase who's been the man in Cincinnati, and that shouldn't change anytime soon. He has the potential to do some damage on Sunday against the Lions, one of the worst teams in the league.

FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 6 Picks

Mark Andrews, vs. LAC ($6,300)

Andrews put on one hell of a performance during the Monday Night victory over the Colts. He had one of the best outings of his career, and he capped off the evening's festivities by accumulating 147 yards off 11 catches. He also had two touchdowns in that one, resulting in a whopping 36.2 fantasy points.

We know that Baltimore LOVES to run the ball. Still, Lamar Jackson has to pass it at some point to keep the defense honest. Andrews is could be the best "receiver" on the team, and he's had at least seven targets now throughout the last three weeks to show for it. To sweeten things even more, the Chargers have struggled against opposing tight ends throughout the season, so now would be a great time for DFS enthusiasts to continue to ride the hot hand heading into Week 6.
