FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (8/30/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

The league has three games to close out the weekend on Sunday, with the Mavericks and Nuggets both looking to avoid elimination in the Western Conference. Over in the Eastern Conference, the Raptors and Celtics will kick off what will likely be an exciting and competitive series.

In regards to Dallas, the team will be playing without the services of Kristaps Porzingis, who will miss the remainder of the series with a meniscus tear. The Mavericks also could be without Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., Dorian Finney-Smith, and Trey Burke, who are all questionable heading into Game 5. To round out the rest of the injuries, Kyle Lowry is expected to play after dealing with a sprained left ankle.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 8/30/20. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Remember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @DennisMClausen. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Jamal Murray, PG - @ UTAH ($8,600)

Murray dealt with a bum hamstring during the first few games of the series against the Jazz. However, since then, in Games 3 and 4, he has made a ton of noise by averaging 45 points, 9.5 boards, and 7.5 rebounds. The former first-round pick has been playing too well to ignore, especially at that price.

Fred Vanvleet, SG - vs. BOS ($7,600)

While Pascal Siakam has had his issues from a production standpoint, VanVleet was dominant during the series against Brooklyn. He accumulated a double-double twice during the sweep of the Nets and averaged nearly 47 fantasy points during Games 1-3. He logged only 18 minutes in Game 4, but that was due to a decisive blowout to finish out the series.

Mike Conley, PG - vs. DEN ($6,700)

Conley left the bubble at the beginning of the series against Denver due to his son's birth and missed Games 1 and 2 as a result. He has since returned and has been productive, to say the least, averaging 36 points during his previous three games. The Jazz have been without Bojan Bogdanovic, who won't be back this season due to wrist surgery, and haven't relied much on the bench outside of Jordan Clarkson, so look for the former All-Star to continue to get plenty of chances to make an impact on the fantasy end.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Pascal Siakam, SF - vs. BOS ($8,500)

Siakam only saw the Celtics a few times during the regular season but made a favorable impression, at least on the scoring end. Throughout two meetings with the squad on the year, the 26-year-old averaged 22 points and shot 50 percent from deep. He has undoubtedly had his struggles during bubble play but has the potential (and ability) to get back on track on Sunday.

Maximilian Kleber, PF - vs. LAC ($5,400)

Kristaps Porzingis is officially out for the season, but he wasn't at 100 percent even before the official announcement. Kleber has taken advantage of that and has seen his asking price slowly increase, though it is still a bargain considering his possible fantasy output. He has played a considerable amount of minutes so far during the postseason, and though he isn't the most reliable option offensively, he can get nasty on the defensive end and on the glass.

Marcus Morris Sr., PF - @ DAL ($5,300)

The options at the power forward position on Sunday aren't that impressive, primarily since Jayson Tatum didn't play too well against the Raptors all season. On the other hand, Morris is a bargain, especially considering how well he has played during the playoff series against the Mavericks, averaging 29 fantasy points throughout five games. With Patrick Beverley unlikely to be back for Game 6, look for Morris to potentially continue to get an extra bump in production.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Nikola Jokic, C - @ UTAH ($9,300)

Jokic scored 31 points in Game 5 and was a significant reason, along with Jamal Murray, why the Nuggets walked away with the win. He has been hot shooting the ball, especially in his previous contest, where he went an impressive 7-for-11 from deep. He should be a popular option for fantasy managers on Sunday, especially as he is always a triple-double threat whenever he takes the court.
