FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (5/5/19): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

So, Sunday's two-game slate's going to be really interesting, because Portland/Denver Game 4 is happening, but the key players in that game played a four overtime thriller on Friday, so fatigue is likely to be a factor, meaning DFS players might need to be careful with that game and instead focus more on the Sixers and Raptors contest.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 5/5/19. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel.

You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks as well as NBA starting lineups. Also, feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @juscarts. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Kyle Lowry - PG, TOR @ PHI (FD - $7,200)

Lowry is the cheapest of the starting point guards on Sunday. He's been an inconsistent scorer in this postseason, but he's managed to stay active in terms of rebounding and passing and he's had his moments as a shooter, including a 20-point performance in Game 2 of this series. And while Pascal Siakam listed as doubtful, Lowry's likely to see a larger usage rate in this one, boosting his overall stat line and his DFS value.

Danny Green - SG, TOR @ PHI (FD - $4,400)

There are more expensive guys that I like more, but I love the value here with Danny Green. As mentioned above in the Lowry blurb, the Siakam injury opens up more offensive opportunities on this Raptors team and Green is coming off a Game 3 performance where he put up 13 points and six rebounds while going 5-for-9 from the field. He opened the series 2-for-10 from three, but that also corrected in Game 3, and Green's struggles were less about the Sixers playing tough defense and more about Green just struggling. I think Game 4 looks a lot like Game 3 for Green.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Rodney Hood - SF, POR vs DEN (FD - $4,600)

There is one good option in this slate, which is Kawhi Leonard, and then there's a huge drop-off. But in that drop-off is Hood, who popped up near the end of overtime in Game 3 with fresh legs and his shot looking on point. Both of these teams are likely going to expand their rotations a little after the teams played an extra 20 minutes on Friday, so expect an uptick in Hood's time on the floor. Hood's also scored at least 15 points in three straight games while hitting over 50 percent from the floor and from three, so Friday's performance wasn't just an aberration.

Tobias Harris - PF, PHI vs TOR (FD - $7,500)

If Siakam doesn't play, things get much easier up front for the Sixers. Harris is already averaging 12 points and 11.3 rebounds per night in this series, but that scoring number could rise on Sunday, and he has struggled some with his shot, connecting on 35.9 percent of his total attempts. If Siakam does play, I'd lower expectations for Harris, who in Game 3 was guarded by Siakam on 14 possessions and didn't even attempt a shot against him.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Joel Embiid - C, PHI vs. TOR (FD - $11,500)

I mean, there's no way I'm recommending Nikola Jokic after he played 65 minutes on Friday, so by default my high-priced guy of the night is Embiid's knee appears to be fully healed, and while his numbers were down to start this series, he did put up 33 points and grab 10 rebounds on Thursday. Expect to see more of Serge Ibaka in the game, and while Embiid will likely still be matched up against Marc Gasol the most, anytime he gets one-on-one with Ibaka is a great chance for Embiid to add to his scoring total. With Philly at home for this one, it feels like we're heading for a big Embiid game.
