FanDuel NBA DFS Lineup Picks (1/18/20): Daily Fantasy Basketball Advice

Dennis Clausen highlights the top FanDuel NBA DFS lineup picks for 1/18/20, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend. The NBA has 11 games scheduled, beginning at 3:30 pm (Eastern). Of course, we have some injuries to monitor, with Paul George, Jrue Holiday, Jahlil Okafor, Kenrich Williams, DeAndre Jordan, Joe Harris, Garrett Temple, Frank Kaminsky, Kelly Oubre Jr., Robert Williams, Blake Griffin, Reggie Jackson, Luke Kennard, Khyri Thomas, Jabari Parker, Alex Len, Chandler Parsons, Joel Embiid, RJ Barrett, Dennis Smith Jr., Wendell Carter Jr. Otto Porter, Daniel Gafford, Jake Layman, D.J. Augustin, Austin Rivers, Skal Labissiere, Draymond Green, Kevon Looney, and Richaun Holmes all confirmed out on Saturday. On the other hand, Maurice Harkless, J.J. Redick, Cameron Johnson, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Daniel Theis, Reggie Bullock, Fred Vanvleet, Michael Carter-Williams, Glenn Robinson III, Alex Caruso, Anthony Davis, Rajon Rondo, C.J. McCollum, Steven Adams, Nemanja Bjelica, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and Mike Conley are all on the fence regarding Saturday's availability.

From a Vegas standpoint, Milwaukee at Brooklyn leads the slate with a projected overall score of 231 points, followed by Detroit at Atlanta at 227. Lastly, keep in mind that the Hawks, Bulls, Cavaliers, Timberwolves, Thunder, 76ers, Trail Blazers, and Raptors will be playing the second of back-to-back outings, which could result in some guys not playing their usual allotment of minutes.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for FanDuel on 1/18/20. These DFS lineup picks can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks on FanDuel. You can also check out today's DraftKings lineup picks. Feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @Den_Clausen. Good luck.

FanDuel DFS Guards

Derrick Rose - PG, @ ATL ($6,700)

Rose's price has remained steady despite putting together some impressive performances as of late. He has dropped at least 20 points in each of his last seven games and should continue to be the No. 2 option offensively behind Andre Drummond for the foreseeable future.

Ricky Rubio - PG, @ BOS ($6,300)

Without Frank Kaminsky or Kelly Oubre in the mix, Rubio gains a 3.9 percent increase in usage and +20.3 in the plus/minus category. He had a fantastic outing against New York a few nights back, finishing things up with 25 points, 13 assists, eight boards, and four steals. He will likely be matched up with Kemba Walker, who is allowing 0.5 fantasy points per minute on the year, so take advantage of Rubio's price because it will likely increase after Saturday.

Caris Levert - SG, vs. BKN ($4,400)

LeVert suffered yet another injury this season and was forced to miss some time as a result. He may come off the bench once again as he works his way back into playing shape, but with Joe Harris out, there will be some extra minutes as well as shots up for grabs. The 25-year-old has scored in the double-figures in each game since returning from his absence and could easily exceed his value on Saturday.

FanDuel DFS Forwards

Al Horford - PF, @NYK ($7,100)

Horford has been on a roll since the finger injury to Joel Embiid. In the five games that the big man has missed, Horford has hit at least 32.1 fantasy points in each of them. The Sixers did play on Friday night, which is a cause for concern, especially since there is a chance that the veteran could sit earlier than normal if this one gets out of hand. However, if the Knicks keep it close, which may happen, Horford could be in line to play around 32-35 minutes.

Derrick Favors - PF, vs. LAC ($5,700)

Favors missed two games with a hamstring injury leading into the matchup against the Jazz. However, after logging 36 minutes to finish with a double-double in addition to three blocks and two steals, the 28-year-old looked better than ever. This pick is somewhat contingent on the availability of J.J. Redick, who has sat in his previous three games with a hamstring issue of his own. If Redick is out, Favors' stock will rise.

Marcus Morris - SF, vs. PHI ($5,300)

Morris missed his previous five games with a neck issue but made his return against the Suns. He only finished with 17 points but should get a noticeable increase in production with RJ Barrett on the shelf for the next week or so after spraining his ankle during Thursday's game against Phoenix.

FanDuel DFS Centers

Deandre Ayton - C, @ BOS ($7,700)

Just as in the case with Ricky Rubio, Ayton will also likely benefit from the absence of Kelly Oubre. He smashed the Knicks a few nights ago by recording 26 points and 21 rebounds. Look for him to do some damage against the Celtics as neither Daniel Theis or Enes Kanter is equipped enough to put up a fight on the defensive end.
