FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (9/1/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

We have a 13-game main slate to go over today, with plenty of pitching options to consider. There are a few high priced pitchers to take a look at today, but we are dealing with a balanced slate overall. Some of the betters offenses on tap today, so plenty of runs should be in future.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 9/1/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

Jon Gray - P, COL @ SDP (FD - $9,200)

Gray has a massive positive park shift in his favor tonight since he is away from Coors Field and in Petco Park. He is facing off against the Padres who come in with a 26% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers this season, which is dead last in the league. Gray has posted five or more strikeouts in three of his last five starts, a level of production he should be able to reach tonight against this weak Padres team.

Stephen Strasburg - P, WAS vs MIL (FD - $9,400)

Strasburg has two starts since coming off the DL and put up 10 strikeouts and allowed seven earned runs in that span. Today, he has a nice chance to bounce back and put up a bit game, since he is up against the Brewers, who have a 25% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers, which is fourth worst in the league. Probably not a cash game option with the other players around him, so stick with tournaments when using him.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Matt Carpenter - 1B, STL vs CIN (FD - $4,300)

Carpenter has three multi-hit games over his last five outings and is coming off a home run last night. He has a .400 wOBA and a .302 ISO vs right-handed pitcher this season, which should put him in a good spot since he is up against Luis Castillo, who is giving up 2.12 HR/9 to lefties.

Daniel Murphy - 2B, CHC @ PHI (FD - $3,900)

Murphy also has three multi-hit outings in his last five games and makes a great stacking option tonight. He is facing off against Zach Eflin, who is giving up a .362 wOBA to lefties along with a 42% fly ball rate. That screams home run potential, especially with his .183 ISO vs RHP.

Willians Astudillo - 3B, MIN @ TEX (FD - $2,200)

Astudillo offers plenty of salary relief tonight, which is great since there are so many expensive pitchers on the slate. He is up against Yovani Gallardo, who is giving a .393 wOBA to righties and a 37% hard contact rate. Savings play with power upside.

Asdrubal Cabrera - SS, PHI vs CHC (FD - $2,600)

Cabrera seems a bit too cheap tonight with his .227 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season. Like the Phillies as a stacking option tonight, since they are up against Kyle Hendricks, who is giving up over 1.00 HR/9 to both lefties and righties this season.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Brian Goodwin - OF, KAN vs BAL (FD - $2,200)

Goodwin has hits in six of his last seven games and comes in super cheap tonight. He has a .347 wOB and a .192 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which lines up perfectly vs Dylan Bundy who is giving up a .394 wOBA to lefties this season.

Jake Cave - OF, MIN @ TEX (FD - $2,600)

Cave has home runs in two of his last four games and with this favorable hitting environment, he is in a spot to do it again. He has a .334 wOBA and a .196 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this season, which are sneaky good numbers for a player at his price point.
