FanDuel DFS Pitchers
Jacob deGrom - NYM v. MIA ($10,700)
Even with some other high-end pitching options available tonight, deGrom still feels like he's in a league of his own. With 35 strikeouts to just six walks and a 1.93 ERA, he's the safest option you can invest in, and will face a roughly league-average opponent in the Marlins. I prefer deGrom over Clayton Kershaw, who will be facing a Giants lineup that's sneaky good against lefties with a .364 wOBA, as well as Sonny Gray who will deal with a hitter-friendly environment in Milwaukee. Vegas agrees with the deGrom call, as the Marlins have the lowest implied run total of any lineup on the slate at 2.9.
Dinelson Lamet - SDP v. SEA ($9,300)
Lamet has been dominant this year, striking out 34.1% of batters with a 1.89 ERA and 0.84 WHIP. He's in a fantastic pitcher's park in San Diego and gets a weak opponent in the Mariners, who have a poor .308 wOBA against right-handed pitchers. There's not much to choose from in terms of mid-range starting pitcher plays on the main slate, so Lamet is your best option for a value play that still has slate-winning upside.
FanDuel DFS Infielders
Anthony Rizzo, 1B - CHC at DET ($3,100)
While Rizzo is only batting .214, that number appears to mainly be unlucky results, as he's got a .229 BABIP dragging him down. Rizzo is actually walking at a career high 14.0% rate, which is how he still manages a strong .364 OBP. Rizzo will be batting second for the Cubs against one of the worst pitchers today in Michael Fulmer, who has a disastrous 9.53 ERA.
Jonathan Schoop, 2B - DET vs CHC ($2,900)
On the other side of the Cubs-Tigers matchup, Schoop has been hot at the plate over the last two weeks, batting .347 with four home runs. Schoop has been much better against left-handed pitching since last year, when he posted a 136 wRC+ against southpaws, and will face a weak lefty in Jon Lester. Lester has a 5.97 FIP and is striking out just 15.2% of batters.
Rafael Devers, 3B - BOS at TOR ($3,200)
Devers' price still reflects his early season struggles, but he's been performing well since then, batting .286 over the last two weeks. He's a nice buy low against the Blue Jays pitching staff in a hitter-friendly park. Devers should see plenty of run and RBI opportunities batting second for the Red Sox.
Francisco Lindor, SS - CLE vs MIN ($3,200)
Lindor is another price we can take advantage of, as he's simply too cheap for an elite fantasy talent. Lindor has been rather mediocre so far this season, but it's only been a 30 game sample and it shouldn't take long for him to turn things around. He went deep last night and is still in a great spot batting third for Cleveland.
FanDuel DFS Outfielders
Kyle Schwarber - OF, CHC at DET ($2,700)
The Cubs are a top stack option tonight, and Schwarber is a perfect option to include with Rizzo at such a low price. Schwarber has an .808 OPS against righties and will be batting cleanup.
Max Kepler - OF, MIN at CLE ($3,200)
Kepler has been shredding righties to the tune of a 160 wRC+ this season atop the Twins lineup. As an elite hitter who will get the added benefits of the Twins leadoff spot, where he will see extra plate appearances and run opportunities, he's exactly the type of player to target in contests.
Michael Conforto - OF, NYM vs MIA ($3,100)
The Mets are another lineup that could have a big showing tonight against Elieser Hernandez. Hernandez has been strong through four starts, but after posting a 5.11 ERA over the last two years, he can still implode at any moment. Conforto has been mashing to the tune of a .905 OPS this year and is batting third for New York.
