FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (7/29/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Justin Bales highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 7/29/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We have a solid 10 game slate today, and FanDuel opted to avoid the game in Colorado. That's great for fantasy, as it takes away chalk and adds a bit of fun to the slate.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 7/29/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

You can also read more DFS lineup picks for DraftKings and other sports too. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin.

FanDuel DFS Pitchers

J.A. Happ - P, vs KC ($8,300)

Happ has been enjoying a solid season, although he has struggled at times. He gets an elite matchup against the Kansas City Royals, who feature one of the worst offenses in the MLB. Happ allowed four runs in their only matchup this season, but he also recorded eight strikeouts in that game. He's a -350 favorite with his new team, and the Royals own an implied run total of 3.1 runs.

Jeremy Hellickson - P, at MIA ($6,600)

Hellickson has looked outstanding on the road this season, posting a 4-1 record with a 2.83 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP through 10 road starts. He has also held his opponents to a 0.6 HR/9, while posting a 7.6 K/9 through 47.2 road innings. He gets a great matchup against the Miami Marlins, and Hellickson is a -145 favorite in a game set at 8.5 runs. Hellickson can be used in all leagues.

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Jorge Alfaro - C, at CIN ($2,900)

Alfaro has been on a tear, scoring fantasy points in each of his last 10 games. He also owns a .361 average with a .611 slugging percentage and a 1.063 OPS over that span. Furthermore, Alfaro is averaging 13.4 fantasy points per game in those games, as well. He has been a significantly better option against right-handed pitching, featuring 0.087 wOBA and 0.07 ISO differentials against righties. He's a great option in all leagues.

Scooter Gennett - 2B, vs PHI ($3,500)

Gennett has been struggling a bit recently, but he has been enjoying an outstanding season. He gets a solid matchup against Zach Eflin in a hitter friendly stadium. Gennett is hitting second in the Cincinnati lineup, and he makes a great option on what should be one of the top offenses on the slate.

Colin Moran - 3B, vs NYM ($2,100)

Moran has struggled with power recently, but he's hitting .257 over his last 10 games. He has found ways to string hits together for upside, and he owns 0.111 wOBA and 0.122 ISO differentials against right-handed pitching. He's expected to hit fifth in the Pittsburgh lineup, and he's a great option for an extremely low price tag.

Jose Peraza - SS, vs PHI ($3,100)

Peraza has been playing at a high level over his last 10 games, hitting .333 with a .462 slugging percentage and an .857 OPS over that span. He has also been a better option against right-handed pitching, posting 0.044 wOBA and 0.03 ISO differentials against righties. Peraza is leading off for the Reds, and he's in a great spot today.

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Rhys Hoskins - OF, at CIN ($4,300)

Hoskins has been playing at an elite level over his last 10 games, hitting .341 with an .854 slugging percentage and a 1.279 OPS over that span. He has scored double digit fantasy points in each of his last nine games. He is averaging 23.4 fantasy points per game over that span, as well. He gets a solid matchup against Luis Castillo in a hitter friendly stadium. Hoskins can be used in all leagues.

Adam Eaton - OF, at MIA ($3,200)

Eaton has been heating up, posting a .306 average with a .444 slugging percentage and a .901 OPS over his last 10 games. He also dominates right-handed pitching, featuring 0.209 wOBA and 0.131 ISO differentials against righties. He's surprisingly cheap for his recent production, and Eaton makes an elite option in all leagues today.
