FanDuel MLB DFS Lineup Picks (10/16/18): Daily Fantasy Baseball Advice

Justin Bales highlights the top FanDuel MLB DFS lineup picks for 10/16/18, and a couple of sleepers to consider while building daily rosters.

We're back to a two game slate, but there are only three known starting pitchers at this time. Milwaukee could run a bullpen game, but their pitching situation is something to monitor leading up to lock tonight.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel on 10/16/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

FanDuel DFS Pitcher

Rich Hill - P, vs MIL ($8,300)

Hill has been struggling a bit recently, but he still owns a 6-1 record with a 3.77 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP over his last 10 starts. He has found success against the Milwaukee Brewers in two starts this season, as he has allowed only two earned runs over 12 innings, while totaling 13 strikeouts. Hill comes with plenty of risk, but he comes with as much upside as any pitcher on the slate, as well.

 

FanDuel DFS Infielders

Steve Pearce - C/1B, at HOU ($3,100)

Pearce is a player that can always be considered against left-handed pitching. On the season, he's hitting .304 with a .559 slugging percentage and a .959 OPS against lefties. He's also expected to hit third in the Boston lineup, which comes with tremendous potential. Pearce is entirely too cheap for his combination of consistency and upside.

Alex Bregman - 3B, vs BOS ($4,100)

Bregman is an option that continues to play at an elite level. He's hitting .300 with a .667 slugging percentage and a 1.200 OPS over his last 10 games. In those games, he owns five extra-base hits (three home runs) and seven RBIs. He's also hitting over .300 with tremendous power at home this season. Bregman isn't going to come cheap, but he's an elite option in all leagues.

Orlando Arcia - SS, at LAD ($2,500)

Arcia has been playing too well to be avoided at this price tag. Over his last 10 games, he's hitting .375 with a .594 slugging percentage and a .969 OPS. He's hitting late in the Milwaukee lineup, but he has been a consistent player that also comes with plenty of upside. If you're looking for a leverage play here, Hernan Perez is the same price, hitting fifth in the Milwaukee lineup.

 

FanDuel DFS Outfielders

Lorenzo Cain - OF, at LAD ($3,700)

Cain has looked outstanding on the road this season, where he is hitting .322 with a .439 slugging percentage and an .844 OPS through 72 games. He has also dominated left-handed pitching, posting 0.082 wOBA and 0.063 ISO differentials against lefties. He's leading off for the Brewers, and he makes a high upside option tonight.

Joc Pederson - OF, vs MIL ($3,300)

Pederson has been a consistent option recently, as he's hitting .296 with a .593 slugging percentage and a .959 OPS over his last 10 games. He owns four extra-base hits (two home runs) and two RBIs in those games, as well. Pederson is also hitting for a .381/.667/1.076 line against Milwaukee this season. He comes with a surprisingly low price tag, and can be considered in all leagues.
