FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (4/2/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We have a 10-game slate tonight with a few lopsided favorites, along with some games with over-under set at six or higher. There should be plenty of scoring to go around tonight and plenty of options for both cash games or GPPs.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/2/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

David Pastrnak - W, BOS @ CLS (FD - $8,300, DK - $7,700)

The Bruins are on a somewhat uncharacteristic two-game losing streak and now are in a spot where their playoff seeding wasn't as secure as it once was. They need to grab a few more points to hold off the Maple Leafs to secure home ice in the first round and Pastrnak is doing all he can right now to help the team. He comes in with nine points and 14 shots in his last five games, which is why he one of the most expensive skaters on the slate tonight. The matchup on paper is very middle of the road against the Blue Jackets and on a 10-game slate, some DFS players might not want to go here, which is why I love the Bruins top line as a stack for tournaments tonight.

Nick Bjugstad - C, PIT @ DET (FD - $4,700, DK - $3,900)

Bjugstad is on the third forward line and the second power-play unit for the Penguins who are another team fighting for every possible point as we end the season. He is very affordable on tonight's slate but is really a GPP option only tonight since the consistency isn't there for cash games. The matchup is amazing, which is why you want to be rostering him in GPPs and at his cheaper price, will be able to exceed salary based expectations. He is up against the Red Wings who are third worst in the league over the past month in Corsi Against and third worst in the number of high-danger scoring chances allowed per 60.

DFS Defenders to Consider

John Klingberg - D, DAL vs PHI (FD - $5,800, DK - $5,700)

Over the past month, the Flyers are the second worst team in the league when it comes to Corsi Against along with being the seventh worst in the league in the number of high-danger scoring chances allowed per 60. That shouldn't come as a surprise, since the Flyers have been a team we've wanted to attack all season long, and it's not stopping in the final week. Klingberg is on the first power-play for the Stars who come in as -170 home favorites, which should put them in a spot for plenty of scoring. He has two points, 10 shots, and four blocked shots over his last five games.

Brett Pesce - D, CAR @ TOR (FD - $3,900, DK - $4,500)

Pesce is always an interesting option for DFS since he doesn't play on either power-play unit for the Hurricanes, which can limit his upside at some points. He does, however, offer a very solid floor of points and shows that with his 10 shots and 12 blocked shots over his last five games. Pesce has added two points in that five-game span, which is the level of production we've seen from him all season, a few points here or there. Great for cash games, but has limited upside in tournaments.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Darcy Kuemper - G, ARI vs LA (FD - $8,200, DK - $8,300)

Kuemper has posted two shutouts in his last three games and is honestly in a spot to do that again tonight coming in as a -210 favorite against the lowly Kings. Kuemper has also posted 30 saves or more in five of his last 10 games, which gives him plenty of tournament upside, but he comes at an expensive price tag tonight. The win should almost certainly be there tonight just a matter of he can continue the shutouts.
