FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (3/20/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

We have a MASSIVE 11 game slate, and there are good options on the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters where you can afford them.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/20/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Nathan MacKinnon - C, COL @ CHI (DK - $7,900, FD - $9,000)

MacKinnon for my money is one of the best players in the league, yet doesn't get a lot of love. The Avalanche are holding down the first wild card spot, and now facing off against the Blackhawks, in what should be a winnable game. He has 22 points in his last 11 games, and simply cannot be stopped right now. MacKinnon has taken a massive 17 shots over his last two games, and they are feeding him the puck when he is on the ice. With him being on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, the upside for him is massive, and with him being on a hot streak, never want to fade him in this spot.

Justin Williams - W, CAR vs EDM (DK - $5,000, FD - $5,300)

Williams is more of a GPP option, or a bit of a punt cash game play for tonight. Not the most consistent player in the league, but has a great matchup tonight, which could be the boost he needs tonight. He has one point in his last three games, and has taken two or more shots in nine of his 10 games. Williams is seeing time on the second forward line and the second power-play unit, and now up against the Oilers, who are giving up over three goals per game, should be a nice boost.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Kris Letang - D, PIT @ NYI (DK - $6,000, FD - $6,400)

Letang and the Penguins will likely be one of the more popular teams on tonight's slate, since they are up against the Islanders, one of the weakest teams in the league. Letang is on the first defensive pairing, and the first power-play, which gives him massive multi-point upside. If you choose to go the stacking route, the first power-play with Malkin and Crosby is where you want to spend you salary if you can. He is taking over two shots per game, and blocking over one shot per game.

Zach Werenski - D, CLS @ NYR (DK - $5,100, FD - $5,300)

With Seth Jones being out for the Blue Jackets, Werenski has moved up to the first power-play unit, making this a spot we want to attack. He is up against the Rangers, who are giving up nearly four goals per game over the past month, so the ideal spot to stack against. He is taking a bit under three shots per game, and is blocking over one shot per game. Can really fill up the stat sheet, which should come somewhat easy against this weak Rangers defense.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Marc-Andre Fleury - G, VGK vs VAN (DK - $8,500, FD - $8,400)

Fleury is coming off a massive 42 save shutout the other day, and now in a spot where he should be able to pick up the win. He is at home against the Canucks, who are one of the weakest teams in the league. He has 26 wins in 40 starts this year, and has seen 30 or more shots in three of his last five games, giving him some nice upside. Should be a solid cash game option for tonight, as he is a big home favorite.
