FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (3/28/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 3/28/19. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have an eight-game slate tonight with a few lopsided favorites, along with some games with over-under set at six or higher. There should be plenty of scoring to go around tonight and plenty of options for both cash games or GPPs.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 3/28/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Kyle Connor  - W, WPG vs NYI (FD - $6,500, DK - $6,000)

Connor is hot right now, there is no question about it and with his price still being very reasonable, you should want him in a ton of lineups tonight. He comes in with 10 points and 18 shots in his last five games, which is a staggering amount of producing for him still being in the $6K range. The Jets have locked up their playoff spot, but are still fighting for seeding, so no letting off the gas in the final few games of the season. They are up against the Islanders tonight which has them coming in as -150 home favorites in a game where the over-under is set at 5.5. Not expecting this to be an offensive light show, but with the Islanders coming in with a 58 Corsi Against over the past month, the shot opportunities should be there for Connor and the first power-play unit.

Aleksander Barkov - C, FLA @ OTT (FD - $8,100, DK - $7,700)

Hot take inbound: The Panthers post five goals tonight and Barkov has his hand in three of them. He is facing off against the Senators, who are a team we've been attacking all season long since they are at the bottom of the league when it comes to Corsi Against and the number of High-Danger scoring chances allowed per 60. They are horrible. There is really no other way to put it and with Barkov carrying a personal Corsi For of 13.87, he will be able to generate plenty of offense on his own to post fantasy points.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Marc-Edouard Vlasic - D, SJ vs CHI (FD - $4,300, DK - $4,700)

The Sharks are on a six-game losing streak right now and that is not something we really ever see from them, but have a chance to right the ship tonight as -220 home favorites versus the Blackhawks. Vlasic has been on the second power-play for a while now since Karlsson is still out for the Sharks and he is making a decent replacement, with four points, nine shots, and eight blocked shots in his last five games. He is cash game viable tonight with his recent consistency and a very affordable price tag on both sites.

Jeff Petry - D, MON @ CLS (FD - $3,800, DK - $4,700)

The Canadiens are holding down the final Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Blue Jackets are just two points behind them, so we will have the best playoff-type atmosphere you can possibly get tonight. Petry is a bit cheaper on FanDuel tonight, so look for him over there as he brings in a whopping 12 shots and 11 blocked shots in his last five games, which is borderline elite production for any player, not to mention one that is this cheap.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Connor Hellebuyck - G, WPG vs NYI (FD - $8,000, DK - $8,100)

Hellebuyck comes in as a -150 home favorite tonight and is up against the Islanders who are scoring just over two goals per game in the past month. They really haven't been generating too much offensive pressure lately, which should put Hellebuyck in a spot to keep the goals low, but he won't have massive save upside. The win equity should be there for him tonight and has done so in four of his last six games.
