FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (2/21/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey

We have a MASSIVE 11-game slate tonight and with the NBA still, on break, this is a good chance to get your feet wet in a new sport. Look for home favorites tonight, as most of them are in a good spot to not only score goals but come away with the win.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 2/21/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Mika Zibanejad - C, NYR vs MIN (FD - $7.300, DK - $6,600)

The Rangers come in as very slight -115 home favorites tonight and are up against the Wild who are on a five-game losing streak and are looking prime to attack tonight. They have seen some regression in terms of how strong they are at giving up shots, so we a spot to attack. Zibanejad comes in carrying a personal 12.79 Corsi For this season, which means with his role on the first forward line and the first power-play unit, he will be in a spot to take plenty of shots.

Jesper Bratt - W, NJ vs OTT (FD - $4,000, DK - $3,900)

Bratt is very affordable tonight and makes a cash game option if you need the salary relief or a solid stacking option. They are at home and in a game where the over-under is set at 6.5 goals, so we are in a spot to see plenty of scoring tonight. The Devils are up against the Senators who are dead last in the league when it comes to Corsi Against along with giving up the sixth most high-danger scoring chances per game. This is the ideal team to attack since we have a safe floor of points from the shots and plenty of goal upside as well.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Mikhail Sergachev - D, TB vs BUF (FD - $3,800, DK - $3,900)

Love the salary relief that Sergacheve brings tonight and hopefully, we see him back on the second power-play unit. He has been rotating that defensemen spot on that unit all season with Ryan McDonagh, but Sergachev comes in with four points in his last four games and has taken seven shots in that span. He is in a bit of rhythm right now on offense, which we've been waiting to see all season making him a viable stacking option tonight.

Kris Letang - D, PIT vs SJ (FD - $7,400, DK - $6,600)

Letang is one of the most expensive defenders on the slate tonight but we have an over-under set at seven in this game against the Sharks, so there should be plenty of scoring to go around. He is coming off an unusually slow game since he has posted six points in the four games prior to that one. With the pace of this game, with him being on the first power-play unit, with his multi-point potential, he is an absolute must in GPPs tonight. This is an 11 game slate tonight, there is plenty of value out there and spending up at defense is a great way to be different in tournaments.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Andrei Vasilevskiy - G, TB vs BUF (FD - $9,500, DK - $8,300)

Vasilevskiy is the most expensive goalie on FanDuel tonight and the second most expensive option on DraftKings tonight and that is due to the fact the Lightning are nearly unstoppable and are playing at home tonight. We don't have a line set for this game, but the Lightning should be around -175 or greater, which puts him firmly in play for cash games. Yes, he is very expensive but you are paying up for the safety of a goalie who has allowed just a single goal over his last three starts combined.
