FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (11/30/19): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

Saturday features an eleven-game evening slate with a spotlight on games like Nashville and Florida, Buffalo and Toronto, plus even Vancouver and Edmonton.

Remember, when looking around for plays, an over/under of 6 dictates offense, but an over/under of 5 or sometimes 5.5 tilts towards the goalies. There are several games at 6.5, as that has become the new norm in hockey now.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/30/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @ChrisWasselDFS. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Nathan MacKinnon - C, COL vs CHI (FD - $9,000, DK - $8,500)

Chicago will be tested on Saturday night much like they were on Friday afternoon as MacKinnon torched Chicago for four more points (goal and three assists). Overall, MacKinnon has eight goals and 21 points in his last ten contests. That includes 50 shots on 80+ attempts in that span. MacKinnon expects to get Mikko Rantanen back on Saturday as if Chicago did not have enough problems with the center.

Patrick Kane - W, CHI vs COL (FD - $8,600, DK - $7,700)

The winger, like MacKinnon, scored eight goals in his last ten games. Kane has 43 shots on goal with 70+ attempts and three power-play points in this timeframe. It took the Chicago winger a little while to get things going but Kane is now playing as he did throughout the second half of last season. It is that pace which Kane must play every night for Chicago and DFS owners to make him worth a nod on Saturday night.

Also, Consider:

  • Aleksander Barkov, Pierre Luc-Dubois, and even Connor McDavid are excellent plays on Saturday night.
  • Filip Forsberg and Leon Draisaitl are truly a coin flip on this night so do choose wisely.

DFS Defenders to Consider

John Carlson - D, WSH vs DET (FD - $7,200, DK - $7,800)

We are picking on the Detroit Red Wings at least a little bit. Consider that Carlson produces more points away from home. That is also in fewer games. Carlson even averages nearly three shots a game on the road. Detroit has one of the worst goal differentials in recent memory. Carlson has 20 real-world points (six goals) in just 13 contests. It is hard not to stack the Washington power play somewhere on Saturday night.

Alex Edler - D, VAN vs EDM (FD - $5,400, DK - $5,300)

Edler's price has come back to Earth a good bit over the past week or two which is to most anyone's benefit. Basically, he is underpriced once more. While Edler will not set the offensive world on fire, he excels on DraftKings especially because of his ability to produce peripheral wise. Vancouver and Edmonton expect to be an up and down contest. The idea is to try and roster at least one peripheral grabber on defense on Saturday night.

Also, Consider:

  • Cale Makar benefits on FanDuel due to a lower price. Also, do not forget to look at Ryan Graves for value from Colorado as well. Filip Hronek makes for a nice value option.
  • Roman Josi/Ryan Ellis are great bets on Saturday night against Florida.

DFS Goalie to Consider

Thomas Greiss - G, NYI vs CLB  (FD - $7,900, DK - $8,300)

The idea was to take a shot with a stable goaltender. Greiss is just that person. He is 8-2 with a 2.27 goals-against average and .926 save percentage over his last ten decisions. The Islanders entertain a Columbus team that will put up some shots on net. He is projected to start on Saturday and that FanDuel price is more than enticing enough to grab and take a shot.

Also, Consider:

  • The other good GPP choices on Saturday night include Frederik Andersen and Jordan Binnington. They carry a lot of risks but have some potential for points. The Predators-Panthers matchup could see 70+ shots combined. Picking the right goalie nets the save bonus likely.
