FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (11/6/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 11/6/18. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have a nine-game slate to look at tonight and we are starting to get a few games into the season, so we should be able to start looking at some more stats soon. Personally, I like Corsi For, which is an advanced shot metric shot which can help identify offensive opportunity.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/6/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Taylor Hall - W, NJD @ OTT (FD - $7,600, DK - $7,600)

Hall is one of the most expensive wingers on the slate, but he should be a building block for cash games tonight and is one of the most consistent options you can have. He comes in averaging over three shots per game and now up against the Senators, who are giving up nearly 40 shots per game. Love the matchup for Hall and will be seeing plenty of ice time on the first forward line and the first power-play unit.

Jordan Staal - C, CAR @ STL (FD - $5,000, DK - $4,900)

Staal is on the second forward line and the second power-play unit for the Hurricanes, who love love love to takes shots this season. They fire the puck every game and they do it often, which brings plenty of fantasy value. It also helps that they are up against the Blues, who are giving up nearly 3.9 goals per game along with being one of the worst defensive teams in the league. Take the savings and lock him in GPPs.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Derrick Pouliot - D, VAN @ DET (FD - $3,700, DK - $3,900)

Pouliot is very cheap across the industry and you should be looking for him in cash or GPPs tonight. With Alexander Edler still injured, Pouliot is on the first power-play unit and the second defensive pairing. With the savings he brings, you can spend up to get another stack that you want to spend on. It also helps that this matchup is fantastic against the Red Wings, who are giving up 39 shots per game.

Oscar Klefbom - D, EDM (FD - $5,000, DK - 5,300)

The price doesn't make Klefbom a true value play, but he has looked good in his last few games and now finds himself up against the Lightning, where the over-under is set at six. He is on the first power-play unit, which gets you some exposure to Connor McDavid, but you don't have to pay up for him. Klefbom is taking over three shots per game and over one blocked shot game.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Henrik Lundqvist - G, NYR vs MON (FD - $7,700, DK - $8,100)

Lundqvist and the Rangers only come in as -115 home favorites tonight, but they are facing the Canadiens who are the second night of a back to back. The situation with Lundqvist tonight and likely every night is this, he will see a TON of shots, he will give up a few goals and might come away with the win. That's shown by the fact he has 30 saves or more in four straight games, given up three or more goals in three of those games and has two wins in that span. A pure GPP play, but massive upside with the number of saves he could see.
