FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (11/27/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 11/27/18. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have a 10-game slate to break down giving us plenty of options to look at tonight, and we are starting to get a few games into the season, so we should be able to start looking at some more stats soon. Personally, I like Corsi For, which is an advanced shot metric shot which can help identify offensive opportunity.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/27/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Patrik Laine - W, WPG vs PIT (FD - $8,400, DK - $7,900)

I wrote about Laine the other night when he scored five goals and not saying I'm the reason, but no reason to stop rostering him now. He finds himself at home in a game where the over-under is set at 6.5 goals tonight versus the Penguins, so we are in for some scoring. The Penguins are giving up over 44 shot attempts per game over the past month, which should put Laine, who is on the second forward line and the first power-play unit in a great spot.

Mikko Koivu - C, MIN vs ARI (FD - $5,900, DK - $5,100)

Koivu seems a bit too cheap on DraftKings tonight considering the Wild come in as -185 favorites, so we should be looking to have some exposure there. He is on the second forward line and the second power-play unit which should put him in a good spot since the Coyotes are on the penalty kill 3.77 times per game over the past month. This presents a solid ceiling for Koivu who already has eight points in his last six games.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Kris Letang - D, PIT @ WPG (FD - $6,600, DK - $6,600)

Letang is on fire right now with points in five of his last six games, 22 shots and nine shots in that span. He is filling up the stat sheet in every conceivable way and is probably too cheap on both sites for production like this. As I mentioned above, this game against the Jets has an over-under set at 6.5 goals, so he is bound to see plenty of chances at the net. He also gets you exposure to Crosby and Malkin on the top power-play unit without pay all the way up.

Miro Heiskanen - D, DAL @ EDM (FD - $4,400, DK - $4,000)

Heiskanen is a name to keep an eye on this season and for many years to come as the 19-year old has been playing well in his rookie season. He has 10 points on the year but is averaging two shots per game and over one blocked shot per game. With the injury to John Klingberg, we now have Heiskanen on the second power-play unit for the Stars, who are in a great spot against the Oilers tonight, who are giving up over three goals per game.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Carey Price - G, MON vs CAR (FD - $8,300, DK - $7,900)

If its one thing you want from a GPP goalie, that is saves, because saves equals points and yes, points are good. Price is set to see a ton of shots tonight since he is up against the Hurricanes, who come in with the highest Corsi For in the league sitting at 71 per 60 minutes. This means that they generate the most shot attempts out of any team in the league, putting Price in a spot to see plenty of rubber tonight. The win isn't a lock but if he can limit the goals and come away with the win, he stands to be one of the best goalies on the night.
