We have 15 games on the day, but a split slate giving us plenty of options to look at tonight and we are starting to get a few games into the season, so we should be able to start looking at some more stats soon. Personally, I like Corsi For, which is an advanced shot metric shot which can help identify offensive opportunity.
Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.
In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/23/18. DFS Forwards to Consider
Taylor Hall - W, NJ vs NYI (FD - $7,800, DK - $7,700)
Hall had two points in his most recent game which broke his three-game point drought, so let's run it right back with Hall who can put up multiple points on any given night. He comes in taking over three shots per game and a Corsi For sitting at 15.08 this season. He is up against the Islanders, who are giving up about 44 shot attempts per game this season, so with Hall on the top power-play unit, he will see plenty of chances.
William Karlsson - C, VGK vs CGY (FD - $6,700, DK - $4,800)
Karlsson is way, way too cheap on DraftKings tonight and you should be looking to have plenty of exposure to him tonight. He comes in with three points in his last three games, along with averaging a bit under two shots per game. Would like to see him take a few more shots, which should be in the cards since he is up against the Flames who are giving up 50 shots attempts per game over the past month.
DFS Defenders to Consider
Dougie Hamilton - D, CAR vs FLA (FD - $5,400, DK - $4,700)
The Hurricanes have taken a slight downturn in production over the past few games, but I'm still a believer in what they can do, especially when they are at home, which is where we find them tonight. Hamilton is perfect for cash games tonight and is another player who is too cheap on DraftKings today, considering he is blocking over one shot per game, taking over 3.5 shots per game and on the second power-play unit.
Brent Seabrook - D, CHI @ TB (FD - $4,600, DK - $5,300)
The good thing about Seabrook tonight is that he is cheap on FanDuel and up on the first power-play unit for the Blackhawks. The bad for Seabrook is that the Blackhawks aren't scoring a ton of goals as of late, which means his ceiling is going to be limited. The good for Seabrook is that he is taking nearly three shots per game while blocking over two shots per game. A bit of a mixed bag here, but he brings a solid floor of points for cash games.
DFS Goalies to Consider
Anton Khudobin - G, DAL vs OTT (FD - $7,800, DK - $8,100)
Khudobin and the Stars come in as -200 favorites at home tonight, meaning he should be a solid option to come away with the win. He's not yet confirmed, but will almost certainly be starting due to Ben Bishop out with an injury. He has eight games under his belt this season and has allowed three or fewer goals in seven of those games.
