FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (10/25/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 10/25/18. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have a 10-game slate to look at tonight and we are starting to get a few games into the season, so we should be able to start looking at some more stats soon. Personally, I like Corsi For, which is an advanced shot metric shot which can help identify offensive opportunity.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually, 5.5 goals are average, so targets game at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 10/25/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Vladimir Tarasenko - W, STL vs CLS (FD - $7,300, DK - $6,500)

Tarasenko is simply too cheap on both sites tonight and you should be looking to roster him, despite his recent struggles. He hasn't scored a goal since the second game of the season, making this a six-game goal drought. Even with the Blues not being that good, Tarasenko is way too good of a player to be priced this low. You should buying into him when he is this cheap and shoot for lower ownership in tournaments.

Bo Horvat - C, VAN @ ARI (FD - $6,200, DK - $6,100)

Horvat isn't too expensive tonight and is up on the first forward line and first power-play, so plenty of chances for scoring. He is up against the Coyotes tonight, who aren't bad but they also aren't good. The Canucks have plenty of young talent, which should make this somewhat interesting, but I would side with the Horvat and the Canucks on this one.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Henri Jokiharju - D, CHI vs NYR (FD - $3,600, DK - $4,300)

I'm still rolling with rookie Jokiharju on the Blackhawks since he is so cheap and is up on the top power-play unit. One of these games he will nab his first NHL goal and add an assist, which will allow him to crush value. He is up against the Rangers, who are giving up a ton of shots every game, which should present enough upside for him and his linemates to put some goals through.

Matt Grzelcyk - C, BOS vs PHI (FD - $3,800, DK - $3,800)

Grzelcyk is up on the first power-play unit for the Bruins, who are showing why they should be among the best offensive teams in the league. He is very cheap across the industry and has an assist in three straight games. Love taking the savings on him and getting some exposure to Bergeron and Pastrnak.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Corey Crawford - G, CHI vs NYR (FD - $7,900, DK - $8,400)

Crawford is starting to look like his old self in these past few games and this is a spot you want to be going to him. He comes in as a -160 home favorite against a Rangers team who don't generate a ton of shots on offense. While that might limit his potential upside of points, he should be one of the safer options to come away with the win. Crawford is already confirmed as the goalie tonight, so you are good to lock him in your lineups.
