EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (4/9/21) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 4/9/21. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! The weekend arrives early in the EPL with a Friday afternoon game this week. It is not that enticing of a game for most casual soccer fans, but there's a DFS slate to be played nonetheless. I will still be breaking down that game in full for you here. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Friday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL or UCL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts! There was some great conversation over the four UCL slates we had this week, and the Premium Slack chat is as full as ever!

In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/9/21 for the slate that locks at 3:00 pm ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Fulham vs Wolverhampton

The relegation battle is going full throttle right now. Fulham (+145) are battling for their lives with a chance for a full three points here at home against a Wolves side that has fallen in very poor form. They have zero wins in their last five EPL games and have fallen down to 14th. Fulham has not been much better lately, but they should have some motivation to perform well in this one if they want to remain in the PL next season. Fulham are slightly favored at home in what could be a low-scoring affair as Vegas has the goal total over/under set at 2.0.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Both of these squads are okay defensively but struggle to score big time. This is a slate where points from peripherals and getting a goal right are going to be essential. Pedro Neto ($15) being the most expensive play on the slate is a little bit of a ripoff, but honestly, there are not really better options in this game. He has the second-best anytime scoring odds in the game at +250, but he also has a stronger floor than most with his chances created. He's a solid play in the captain spot. He and the other Wolves attackers have not scored much on the road lately, but they're facing a Fulham defense that is stumbling at home recently with five goals allowed in their last two games at Craven Cottage.

For Wolves, Adama Traore ($8) and Leander Dendoncker ($7) are both value plays I would consider with their attacking upside.

Alexander Mitrovic ($11) has the best anytime scoring odds in the game among starters at +160. He has only three goals in the league this season which is rough for his standards. However, he is coming off his best game of the season last game with 39.8 fantasy points and a goal against Aston Villa. Now is the time to get him for a good price against a below-average Wolves defense. Ademola Lookman ($14) is a bit over-priced, but that is the theme here on a single-game slate between two poor teams for DFS purposes. He appears to be 100% and should be in for a decent game at home here if you can afford him. Mario Lemina ($7) is the cheap Fulham attacker to consider.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

Wolves hardly give up many defensive stats at all which is largely going to take me off of all Fulham defenders aside from possibly Kenny Tete ($8) at low ownership. He gets enough defensive peripherals to support a decent floor, but he needs to create a chance to two to be a good play. He can do that in a game in which his team will have some urgency to attack and win especially against a more defensive side like Wolves.

Fulham surprisingly force a lot of defensive action out of opposing teams. They are in the top six in allowing tackles, interceptions, and blocks, and they allow the ninth most clearances. I'll be pretty interested in Romain Saiss ($10) even at that price with the way he can collect peripherals in a game environment like this. Unfortunately, we don't have much value for Wolves at DEF to take advantage of, however, whichever cheap Wolves defenders do start (Maximilian Kilman for $4 or Rayan Ait-Nouri for $5) will be viable - and popular - value plays.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
