EPL DFS Lineup Picks for FanDuel (4/19/21) - English Premier League Soccer

Vince's FanDuel EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 4/19/21. His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back, RotoBallers! This wonky EPL gameweek continues this week with several more single-game slates. We have one lone game Monday, but there's still plenty of DFS success to be had! I will be breaking down that game in full for you here. Keep reading this breakdown for my DFS soccer picks on RotoBaller and see how to have success on Monday's slate.

The very large majority of my DFS content will be EPL or UCL-related, however, there is more soccer than just what is being played in England. If you want to chop it up with myself and other RotoBaller writers about non-EPL leagues or other sports, consider becoming a premium member and joining our ever-growing community of DFS and fantasy sports enthusiasts! There was some great conversation over the four UCL slates we had this week, and the Premium Slack chat is as full as ever!

In this article, I will be providing you with my English Premier League daily fantasy soccer lineup picks for FanDuel on 4/19/21 for the slate that locks at 3:00 pm ET. Be sure to also check out our other DFS lineup picks for other active sports. You can always find me on Twitter @vdray5 if you have any questions. Good luck, RotoBallers!

EPL DFS Lineup Picks - Overview

Leeds vs Liverpool

Both of these clubs have gone through a rough patch lately, but each of them are coming into this game off three straight league wins. Leeds sit pretty much in the middle of the table and don't have many places to go at this point in the season. Liverpool (-150) - on the other hand - have dropped to 6th out of a European qualifier spot. They'll have some work to do to get back up in the top four, and that starts here. Leeds have been pretty solid at home, and we all know about Liverpool's horrid road form this year. However, I think Liverpool can dice up the leaky Leeds backline and win this game. The goal total over/under is 3.0.

FanDuel DFS Forwards / Midfielders

Mo Salah ($15) is on a two-game goal streak, and now he has a prime matchup for more against this leaky Leeds defense. Salah has the best anytime scoring odds at -180. His goal upside is better than anyone on the slate, and he has a high floor on top of that with the way Leeds allow SOGs and chances created. He's going to be the most popular captain pick on the slate, but I still like playing him there. It is one of those situations where, if he has a great game and you don't have him, you'll be at the bottom.

Diogo Jota ($12) is another top-tier Liverpool play against this weak Leeds defense. Jota's anytime scoring odds are second-best on the slate at -110, and he has a great floor like Salah. Leeds allow third-most shots on goal and fourth-most shots on goal in the league. Jota is in a prime spot here at a decent price.

Sure, Liverpool have not been very good on the road, but I still don't want to pay this price for Patrick Bamford ($14) here. He hasn't been scoring much recently, and he doesn't have much of a floor here. Instead, I'll take Raphina ($13) who has a safer floor in a game like this. Jack Harrison ($11) is also on my short list of Leeds targets on this slate. He's affordable and in good form.

Thiago ($6) is my favorite value attacker on the slate. He hasn't been that good, but he is getting more playing time now and has the same plus matchup that Salah and Jota do. He can rack up the meaningful peripherals in this game environment and has assist upside.

FanDuel DFS Defenders

After receiving some flack for his performance this year, Trent Alexander-Arnold ($10) has started to shine. He scored a spectacular game-winning goal for Liverpool in their last game, and he has starting to create chances at a similar rate to what he has done in the past. Like I mentioned above, Leeds allow the fourth-most chances created per game. TAA has a strong floor here with that combined with Leeds also allowing a decent number of defensive peripheral stats.

Liverpool force the most combined defensive action in the league. All Leeds defenders are in a nice spot on this slate, but Diego Llorente ($7) is my favorite. He has been the best recently with defensive peripherals. He also has the most clearances recently out of the Leeds backline which is the stat Liverpool gives up more than any other team.

Thanks for reading my EPL DFS lineup picks breakdown on RotoBaller and good luck!
