EPL DFS Lineup Picks for DraftKings (01/02/21) - English Premier League Soccer Matchweek 21 - Day 2

Brandon's DraftKings EPL DFS lineup picks for English Premier League soccer on 01/02/21 (Matchweek 21 - Day 2). His top daily fantasy soccer forwards, midfielders, defenders, goalkeepers.

Welcome back to “The Kick-Off”! We have ourselves a double-gameweek! Luckily, the only thing that will change is the rotation of players. We will also have to entertain the AFCON tournament. We will have a tiny three-game slate starting at 09:00 A.M. EST with no true favorites.

With three games, softer pricing, and COVID-19,  making the winning lineup will be very difficult and it will take the best forms of creativity when making lineups. The slate may also become a rather low-scoring slate which would point towards peripheral midfielders being much more valuable.

If you have any questions on today's slate, bankroll management, GPP strategy, Cash game strategy, or anything else don’t hesitate to email me at [email protected] or via Twitter @df_solutions or on “SLACK”.

The Kick-Off - EPL Matchweek 21

Vegas Odds for the Day

[H] Brentford (+200) vs Aston Villa [A] (+150):  Total: 2 1/2u

Both clubs are meeting up with struggling offenses. Each of them have been blanked at least once in their last five matches as well. Luckily, Villa has shown immediate growth since Gerrard’s arrival. Since the promotion of the new bench boss, Villa have only lost three times -- Liverpool, Manchester City and Liverpool --. This match looks to be rather close and it remains to be seen if the visitors will be able to sneak out all three points.

Expected Outcome: Aston Villa 1-0

BRE:

Cash/GPP:

D: Canos($5.6K)

GPP: Toney($7.3K), Mbuemo($6.2K), Fernandez($4.6K), Norgaard($4.3K), Onyeka($3.2K)

AVL:

Cash/GPP:

G: Martinez($5K)

D: Young($4.9K)

M/F: Watkins($8.3K)

GPP: McGinn($7.8K), Buendia($5.9K), Cash($5.8K), Luiz($5.7K)

[H] Everton (+150) vs [A] Brighton & Hove Albion (+195):  Total: 2 1/2u

The Toffees have seen each side of the spectrum in their last two matches with a 4-1 loss to Liverpool and then a 2-1 win over Arsenal. Brighton however, has found consistency, albeit it being draw after draw. Brighton’s last three away matches have been 1-1 draws with West Ham, Southampton and Chelsea. This could very well play out to yet another light-goalscoring draw.

Expected Outcome: Everton 2-1

EVE:

Cash/GPP:

D: Digne($5.7K)

M/F: Calvert-Lewin($9.3K), Gray($9K)

GPP: Gordon($5.5K), Pickford($4.7K), Doucoure($3.9K)

BHA:

Cash/GPP:

D: Cucurella($5.9K)

M/F: Gross($7.9K)

GPP: Trossard($8.2K), Veltman($5K), Sanchez($4.8K), Bissouma($3.8K)

[H] Leeds United (+105) vs [A] Burnley (+245)  Total: 2 1/2o

Both clubs are struggling for any sort of success as of late. In Leeds’ past three matches, they have lost to Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal to a combined score of 14-3. Burnley have lost their last two matches to Newcastle and Manchester United to a combined score of 4-1. With numerous unknowns for each squad, it is hard to imagine a high-scoring affair here and this could potentially be the lowest-scoring match of the slate.

Expected Outcome: Leeds United 2-1

LEE:

Cash/GPP:

G: Meslier($5.2K)

M/F: Raphinha($10.7K), Bamford($8.1K), Harrison($5.3K)

GPP: Roberts($6.7K), Dallas($5.4K), Firpo($3.9K)

BUR:

Cash/GPP:

G: Hennessey($4.3K)

M/F: McNeil($8.5K), Westwood($4.6K)

GPP: Lowton($4.7K), Wood($4K)

Expected Corner Takers:

Brentford: Canos/Toney

Aston Villa: McGinn/Luiz/Young

Everton: Digne

Brighton & Hove Albion: Gross

Leeds United: Raphinha

Burnley: McNeil/Westwood
