BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues/NL-only leagues
OWNED IN: 44% of Fleaflicker leagues.
ANALYSIS: Ender Inciarte (.301/.327/.399) has taken over the leadoff spot from A.J. Pollock and it doesn't seem like he is going to give it back anytime soon. His .327 OBP allows him to get on base at an above average rate and allows him to use his speed on the base paths. Twice in his minor league career Inciarte stole over 40 bases. Batting in front of Trumbo and Goldschmidt gives Inciarte a great chance to score lots of runs. In the 30 games that Inciarte has batted first or second, he has scored 24 Runs which is currently on pace to finish the season with over 100 Runs. For reference only seven players last year accomplished that feat.
Inciarte has a chance to really stick for a few reasons. His Hard Hit% is slightly above league average and he does an amazing job of spraying the ball to all fields. His contact% is 89% which is ranked 14th in the league this year. All of these tools combined with his speed will keep his BABIP sustainable and his AVG up.
If Inciarte continues to perform at this level, he should finish with a .300, five home runs, 98 runs scored, 56 RBI, and 20 stolen bases. In perspective, last year Denard Span (a player with a comparable skill set to Inciarte) hit .302 with five home runs, 94 runs scored, 37 RBI, and 31 SB and that was enough to have him ranked as the 15th best OF on ESPN Player Rater and 37th overall. Inciarte could be a cheap source of runs and stolen bases from off the waiver wire.
