Early DraftKings CBB DFS Lineup Picks For 12/22/23 - Daily Fantasy College Basketball Advice

CBB DFS lineup picks DraftKings NCAA daily college fantasy basketball

Today's early DraftKings college basketball DFS lineup picks for 12/22/23. Mike Marteny's CBB daily fantasy advice and lineup sleepers to help you win on DraftKings.

Tis the season for a couple of days full of holiday hoops! Today is a bit smaller than yesterday, but all teams seem to be getting a game in before Christmas and bowl games take over. This gives us some nice exposure to smaller schools that we can use to our advantage come March. If Northern Colorado makes the NCAA tournament, we'll be some of the few who know who Saint Thomas is and that he plays well even against major teams. Who can do that today?

We begin in N'Awlins with Tulane hosting George Mason. Next up is Texas A&M-Corpus Christi heading over to Austin to take on the Longhorns. North Florida heads up to Athens to take on the Bulldogs. We end the early slate in Birmingham with Drake visiting UAB. My only complaint is that they left the James Madison game off the slate. They're ranked, you know!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/22/23, starting at 2 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards

Jaylen Forbes, Tulane ($8,200)

Forbes is a volume scorer on the third-highest-scoring team in the country. The Green Wave averages 91.7 points per game, just behind Arizona and James Madison. They have hit triple digits in each of the last two games thanks to 54 points by Forbes. He is on fire right now. Forbes plays a ton of minutes and is active on both ends of the court. His price could be a lot higher than this and I would still use him.

Chaz Lanier, North Florida ($6,300)

On smaller slates like this, it's not a bad idea to target volume shooters and let the chips fall where they may. Lanier is a volume shooter, but he impressed me with his 22 points against Florida State. The Seminoles shut him out in rebounds and assists, but 22 points in 26 minutes is worth taking note of. Lanier isn't much of a passer anyway, but keeping him off the boards shouldn't happen again. Georgia isn't as long in the front court as Florida State is.

Efrem Johnson, UAB ($4,900)

Johnson has 65.75 DraftKings points over the last three games. Drake is a tougher opponent than anyone the Blazers have faced in December, so it may be a bit much to expect Johnson to clear 20 again, but I wouldn't rule it out. He is shooting the ball well right now and putting up solid rebounding and assist numbers.

Also consider: Max Abmas, Texas ($8,100); Darius Maddox, George Mason ($7,600); Kevin Overton, Drake ($6,700); RJ Melendez, Georgia ($6,400); Dorian James, North Florida ($5,800); Marion Humphrey, Texas A&M-CC ($4,200)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards

Kevin Cross, Tulane ($9,500)

Cross has posted back-to-back triple-doubles for the Green Wave in wins over Southern and a good Furman team. He has scored at least 20 points in four straight thanks to his hyper-efficient shooting (65.4% on the season; 74.4% in the last four games). This is a team that hoists a lot of shots and scores a lot of points. If Cross isn't scoring it himself, he's cleaning up the boards.

Darnell Brodie, Drake ($6,000)

Brodie's main strength is rebounding, so we're using him mainly for his work on the boards and rim-protecting abilities. He has taken just 12 shots in the last three games combined. It is worth noting that Brodie has taken more shots in the closer games that Drake has played. This one with UAB feels like it should be a pretty close game. If Brodie gets back up around eight shots per game, he could flirt with 30 DraftKings points thanks to solid shooting and his rebounding ability.

Collin Holloway, Tulane ($5,600)

Holloway played just 21 minutes because of foul trouble against Southern, but he had 103.75 DraftKings points over the previous three games. That's the kind of ceiling we're looking for, and one we rarely find in this price range. Most of Tulane's players can hit value because of the way this team scores. If Holloway can keep out of foul trouble, the ceiling is very high.

Also consider: Dillon Mitchell, Texas ($7,900); Javian Davis, UAB ($6,600); Yaxel Lendeborg, UAB ($5,800); Stephen Giwa, Texas A&M-CC ($3,700)
