For the first time in about six months, we have a showdown slate in the NBA tonight. To the surprise of many, the Hawks have pushed Boston to a Game 6 back in Atlanta. The only injury designation we currently have is for Danilo Gallinari, which is no surprise. We have two full-strength teams going with Boston trying to close out on the road and Atlanta trying to push this back to Boston for a winner-take-all Game 7.
Showdowns are a little different. On DraftKings, you have a "captain" that scored 1.5x points but is also 1.5x the price. On FanDuel, there are no price multipliers, but all of the points are. The MVP slot scores double the points. The Star scores 1.5x points. The pro slot scores 1.2x points. There are also two utility slots that score the normal point value. Are you ready?
This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 4/27/23. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before the lineup locks at 8:30 pm EST. Good luck, RotoBallers!

DraftKings and FanDuel Captain/MVP - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Trae Young, ATL ($16,200 DK; $16,500 FD)
Young had a rough start to this series, but the series changed when he got more aggressive. Sure, his shooting is still sub-optimal, but the points output has topped 30 in each of the last three games. He has also piled up 37 assists in those three games. That's a ton of fantasy points even before you add in the handful of steals and rebounds. Boston is a more balanced team. Young carries the Hawks when he's at his best, which he has been over the last three games of the series.
Jaylen Brown, BOS ($14,100 DK; $14,000 FD)
If you want to run Tatum, I'm not going to argue. However, for the massive price difference, I'm going to go with Brown instead. Brown has the capability to be an elite scorer but sometimes gets overshadowed by Tatum. On FD, I think I like Tatum more for the peripherals and he's only $3,000 more. I will most certainly run a Hawks captain simply because they are more prone to having one player take over. That's not always a bad thing.
Also consider: Bogdan Bogdanovic ($8,100 DK, $10,500 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Utility Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Dejounte Murray, ATL ($8,600 DK; $13,500 FD)
Murray has been the more consistent force for the Hawks over the entire series. Yes, even with Young going off. Murray has at least 42 DraftKings points in every game of this series (besides the one he was suspended for). Young's numbers may take a bit of a hit, but he was fine in Games 3 and 4 with Murray putting up big numbers too. Run them both and watch the show!
Derrick White, BOS ($7,400 DK; $11,500 FD)
Smart and Brogdon have played better of late, which has put a bit of a dent in White's numbers. Just a bit though. White has still played at least 30 minutes in every game of the series. He has scored in double figures in every game as well. I don't feel great about using the Boston guards because I still feel like it's a guessing game. However, White has been playing the most minutes, so he's the safest option and you really can't get away from using a Boston guard.
Others to consider: Al Horford ($6,400 DK; $9,500 FD)
DraftKings and FanDuel Value Plays - NBA DFS Lineup Picks
Bogdan Bogdanovic, ATL ($5,400 DK; $10,500 FD)
There's a reason that I'm considering running Bogdan as captain in large-field GPPs. He can put up a lot of points in a small amount of time. Bogdanovic has scored at least 15 points in three of the five games in this series. Not only that, but he has been putting up good peripheral numbers as well. Sure, he can bust as he did in Game 4 when he fouled out, but I'll ride this kind of upside in any format, especially with the low price on DK.
John Collins, ATL ($5,000 DK; $8,000 FD)
Clint Capela has been a non-factor in this series. Not that Collins has been much better, but he is at least getting minutes. Minutes means potential. The lofty price tags on the Boston stars make it harder to make a lineup without digging a bit deeper. Collins provides potential at a relatively low price.
Others to consider: Robert Williams ($6,000 DK, $9,000 FD)
