DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (4/21/23): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Donovan Mitchell - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on April 21, 2023. Mike Marteny provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

We have a three-game first-round playoff slate here with a pair of teams looking to build a 3-0 series lead. Minnesota will try to take one or two from Denver in the Twin Cities after a mostly awful showing in the Rockies. Boston tries for a third win in Atlanta.

The Cavs and Knicks are tied heading into the Garden in what promises to be another intriguing game. Buckle up for this one...it's going to be fun!

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for the DraftKings and FanDuel slate beginning at 7 pm ET on 4/21/23. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool as the slate can completely change before lineups lock. Good luck RotoBallers!

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Donovan Mitchell - SG, CLE at NYK ($9,300 DK, $10,200 FD)

This is what the Cavs envisioned when acquiring Mitchell from the Jazz in the offseason. Sure, Darius Garland went bonkers in Game 2, but Mitchell still racked up 13 assists. I trust Mitchell's game-by-game output more than Garland's, but I really can't find fault in either of them. The Knicks usually play better for the home crowd, so I'll side with the more consistent Mitchell over Garland for Game 3.

Dejounte Murray - PG/SG, ATL vs. BOS ($8,100 DK, $8,700 FD)

Murray was the only bright spot in two double-digit losses in Beantown to start this series. He feels a little underpriced considering his 53 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists, and seven steals in the first two games of this series. The rest of the Hawks may be going belly-up, but don't blame Murray. He's putting up some big numbers in losing efforts and might be the safest play at guard tonight.

Derrick White - PG/SG, BOS at ATL ($6,100 DK, $7,600 FD)

White has put up two huge games for the Celtics so far in this series. Boston is loaded at guard, but White has been so good that the team has played him 72 minutes over the first two games of the series. He has been incredibly efficient in scoring his 50 points in this series. If White goes cold, he could see Malcolm Brogdon cut into his minutes. But until then, White will continue to give us great returns for the price.

Others to consider: Jamal Murray ($8,000 DK, $9,000 FD); Caris LeVert ($4,700 DK, $5,400 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Julius Randle - PF, NYK vs. CLE ($8,200 DK, $8,000 FD)

I had no intention of using Randle, but then I took a look at his price. How can we not? Sure, Cleveland has been tougher on Randle in this series, but he routinely threw up points in the 50s during the regular season. Randle has a lot of potential when he's priced this low. He is perfect for a GPP entry right now. Cleveland won't be able to hold him back forever.

Aaron Gordon - PF, DEN at MIN ($5,900 DK, $6,300 FD)

Look, I'm a Timberwolves fan and I know they're cooked. They have been outplayed in seven of the eight quarters of this series by a rather large margin. Only a monster third quarter in Game 2 is making them look respectable in this series. Outside of Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, Denver's fantasy output has been inconsistent. However, Gordon still does work all over the court, so he's effective even when he doesn't score a ton of points.

Bojan Bogdanovic - SF/SG, ATL vs. BOS ($5,100 DK, $6,000 FD)

Atlanta picked up Bogdanovic in the offseason because he is instant offense. On top of that, Bogdanovic has actually been better on the peripherals this season than he was in Utah. He is a key component of the second unit for the Hawks and should continue to lead the bench in scoring for Atlanta. He'll produce solid numbers for the price, win or lose.

Others to consider: Jayson Tatum ($9,900 DK, $10,800 FD); Al Horford ($5,600 DK, $6,000 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Jarrett Allen  - CLE at NYK ($6,700 DK, $7,700 FD)

This is another position where I see no sense in paying the premium for a guy like Nikola Jokic. You need 60 points out of him just to hit 5x value, a mark that he hasn't come close to in the playoffs. He won't tonight either. The Nuggets simply don't need him against an overmatched Timberwolves team.

Allen has been a huge asset for the Cavs on the interior so far even though he isn't scoring a lot of points. He has notched 24 rebounds, seven assists, three steals, and three blocks to go with his 23 points. Those peripherals pile up the points fast, especially on FD.

Others to consider: Nikola Jokic ($10,700 DK, $11,500 FD); Robert Williams III ($4,500 DK, $5,700 FD)
