DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (8/30/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

carlos correa fantasy baseball rankings draft sleepers MLB injury news

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on August 30th, 2022. Mark Kieffer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

It's a Tuesday, we have all the MLB teams in action tonight! We are inching closer to Labor Day weekend, the MLB playoff races are heating up as this is one of the best times of year to follow baseball.

This article has daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 8/30/2022, Main Slate at 7:05 pm Eastern Time. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. The main slate is 12 games on DraftKings and FanDuel.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter @Mark_Kieffer and ask away!

Today's MLB Weather Outlook

There is some light rain forecasted for A's-Nationals but it is unclear whether this will have an effect on the game or not at the moment. Check for updates closer to lock! In the past, Washington has been known for calling rainouts aggressively but we will have to wait until closer to lineup lock to see.

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Kevin Gausman- P, TOR vs. CHC ($8,700 DK, $10,200 FD)

For his price, it is difficult to not like Gausman (especially on DraftKings). He has the third-best SIERA on the slate (3.00) and a respectable 27.7% strikeout rate. On FanDuel he is priced up but is still the fifth most expensive pitcher on the slate.

George Kirby- P, SEA @ DET ($8,500 DK, $9,200 FD)

He doesn't have the upside of some of the pitchers on the slate, but Kirby has a 3.20 SIERA, a 24.9% strikeout rate, and is pitching to the Tigers tonight. It's not a bad spot.

Lucas Giolito- P, CHW vs. KC ($8,200 DK, $8,400 FD)

Lucas Giolito should be somewhat popular at a good spot here. Yes, he has a 5.14 ERA but his SIERA is 3.78 and he's facing the Royals. Going opposite Brady Singer may make the win tough but he should have a good game here.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B, PIT vs. Jason Alexander ($3,400 DK, $2,500 FD)

Alexander has a 4.98 SIERA and a 2.9% K-BB%. Overall Hayes is having a down year with a .316 OBP and a .107 ISO but he has 14 stolen bases and Alexander is one of the worst pitchers on the slate.

Carlos Correa - SS, MIN vs. Kutter Crawford ($4,700 DK, $3,100 FD)

Correa has a .354 OBP and a .162 ISO -- a bit of a disappointment from the power output side of things. On this slate, Crawford is a middle-of-the-road pitcher and this is a slate where spending up on Shortstop makes sense unless you want to completely punt.

Vaughn Grissom- 2B, ATL vs. Jose Urena ($2,800 DK, $3,300 FD)

Urena has a slate-high 5.54 SIERA. Most of the Braves are pretty expensive and rightfully so, but Grissom is a bargain tonight (especially on DraftKings). A .361 OBP and a .176 ISO at second base is playable always.

Seth Brown- 1B, OAK vs. Erick Fedde ($2,900 DK, $2,500 FD)

The game might rain out but playing a lefty against Erick Fedde that bats in the middle of the order at a punt price makes some sense.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Victor Reyes OF, DET vs. George Kirby ($2,000 DK, $2,600 FD)

In the past week, Reyes is batting .360 with a .393 OBP, a .240 ISO, five runs, and five RBI. Kirby isn't a player to target but for a punt at OF he is hot at the moment.

J.D. Martinez- OF, BOS vs. Chris Archer ($4,500 DK, $3,000 FD)

Getting some exposure to Boston tonight makes sense as Archer has a 4.70 SIERA.

Christian Yelich- OF, MIL vs. Mitch Keller ($4,100 DK, $3,400 FD)

Leading off in a game in which Milwaukee has over five implied runs against a pitcher with a 4.29 SIERA.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are a few stacks I am really liking today outside of Coors Field (Coors is always a stacking option)

  • Atlanta Braves- Urena has the highest SIERA on the slate with a 0.0% K-BB%. Expensive but could pay off.
  • Boston Red Sox - Chris Archer is not an effective pitcher. He has a 4.34 ERA and 4.70 SIERA. The Twins are fine as well and have the higher implied total but I think Boston can do damage to Archer too.
  • Milwaukee Brewers-  They are playing at home, against a bad starter, and bad bullpen. They are implied for over five runs.
  • Los Angeles Dodgers- I imagine they may not be that popular playing against the Mets in New York. That said, Taijuan Walker has a 4.31 SIERA and this is a good offense that can do some damage.
  • New York Yankees - Max Mayers allows 2.10 HR/9 and the bullpen behind the Angels is not great.
