DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (6/14/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Gerrit Cole - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, MLB Injury News, DFS and Betting Picks

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on June 14th 2022. Mark Kieffer's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Welcome back my fellow RotoBallers to our free daily article for MLB DFS lineup picks and value plays.  This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on 6/14/2022, Main Slate at 7:05 pm Eastern Time.

The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. The main slate is 10 games on DraftKings and FanDuel with a lot of different routes one can go with lineup construction and tournament strategy.

You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. If you have any questions or comments, find me on Twitter @Mark_Kieffer and ask away!

DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Dylan Cease- P, CHW @ DET ($8,800 DK, $9,600 FD)

Dylan Cease is my choice for cash games today. He has had difficulty getting out of the 5th inning the last two starts, but that was against the Dodgers and Rays... This is the Tigers, one of the worst offenses in the league. Cease has a 32.7% strikeout rate, the highest on the slate. The downside is the walks, as he has a 12.1% walk rate. The good news is that the Tigers have the second-lowest walk rate in the league.

Gerrit Cole- P, NYY vs. TBR ($10,500 DK, $10,400 FD)

Gerrit Cole is my favorite high-end tournament play today. He has a 2.88 SIERA, 30.7% strikeout rate, and a 6.2% walk rate. He does give up the long ball, 1.48 HR/9 which is something I'd like to see come down, especially at his price tag. Tampa Bay is tied for the 11th-highest strikeout rate (23.0%) with the Reds. They are middle of the road in ISO and are 5th-lowest in on-base percentage. They are also in the bottom third of the league in scoring. This is a below-average offense. Cole should do fine here.

Dane Dunning- P, TEX vs. HOU ($7,000 DK, $8,200 FD)

Dunning is my favorite value GPP play. He would make for a decent SP2 on DraftKings as well. He has the sixth-best SIERA on the slate. His strikeout rate is 22.6% and his walk rate is 7.1%. He is allowing 0.96 HR/9. He does face Houston, but as much as we think about Houston being a good offense, they are a mixed bag this year. They are 13th in OBP, 5th in ISO, and 23rd in runs scored. This game will be in Texas, a pitchers park, and this offense didn't look so great last night against a much worse pitcher. He has to get through Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker, but if it was going to be that easy, he would be more expensive.

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Wilmer Flores- 3B, SFG vs. Kris Bubic ($3,800 DK, $2,800 FD)

Kris Bubic is the worst pitcher on the slate. There was once a time when Flores was better against left-handed pitchers than right-handed pitchers. In his career, he has a .340 wOBA and .218 ISO against left-handed pitchers but in the last two years, he has fared better against right-handed pitchers compared to left-handed pitchers. Regardless, he is facing the worst pitcher on the slate, one of the worst bullpens, and should bat in the middle of the order.

Corey Seager- SS, TEX vs. Jose Urquidy ($4,900 DK, $3,200 FD)

Jose Urquidy isn't a bad pitcher, but he has a low strikeout rate (17%) and has been allowing 1.79 HR/9 this season. Seager has not had a great year but with a career .204 ISO, he is always a threat to hit a home run. The position is one where it is difficult to find values. You are either going to pay up or have to punt all the way down to someone batting at the bottom of the order.

Santiago Espinal- 2B, TOR vs. Jordan Lyles  ($4,800 DK, $2,600 FD) - FanDuel

On FanDuel, finding a cash game second basemen is easy. You either go Espinal here or you punt all the way down to Robert Refsynder ($2,000) if he is leading off. On DraftKings, you have to dig a little more to find good value.

Jonathan India - 2B, CIN vs. Zach Davies ($3,500 DK, $2,800 FD) - DraftKings

You can play India on FanDuel but I felt the need to offer someone below $4K on DraftKings. Davies is an average pitcher at best and India should be leading off as he is now back from the IL. India has a career .372 OBP, hits with some pop, and is a stolen base threat.

Luke Voit- 1B, SDP vs. Kyle Hendricks ($3,400 DK, $2,900 FD)

Kyle Hendricks has a 4.93 SIERA and is allowing 1.69 HR/9. The wind is blowing out at Wrigley tonight. Enough said.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Nick Castellanos- OF, PHI vs. Trevor Rogers ($4,100 DK, $2,700 FD)

Not a great season, but I am looking at his .374 wOBA and .231 ISO against lefties and hoping that he plays well tonight. Rogers got off to a bad start, he is improving, but still has a 4.58 SIERA and allowing 1.44 HR/9 here.

Oscar Gonzalez- OF, CLE vs. Antonio Senzatela ($2,900 DK, $2,800 FD)

A Coors Field batter, in the middle of the order and under $3K on both sites? Probably going to be chalky but a great value.

Tyler O'Neill- OF, STL vs. Bryse Wilson ($3,200 DK)

O'Neill has been a different player since coming back from injury. He is still too cheap. This is Game 2 of a double header, so it is only on DraftKings and not FanDuel. You will also have to check lineups to make sure he is in, as sometimes guys play just one game instead of both.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Here are a few stacks I am really liking today:

San Francisco Giants - Bubic is bad, the bullpen is bad. One fear is the Giants pitch hit a lot. If they cram in platoon guys at the top of the order, they may not play long.

Boston Red Sox - Jared Koenig has a 4.67 SIERA and a 11.1% walk rate.

Saint Louis Cardinals - This will be lineup dependent as well, because of the double header. Bryse Wilson has a 4.64 SIERA and 7.3 K-BB% with a low strikeout rate.

Chicago Cubs and Colorado Rockies - If compelled to play the game at Coors or the game at Wrigley (with the wind blowing out), take the less popular sides of the game in a tournament. The other team has the same conditions as the favored team.
