DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks (5/6/22): Today's Top MLB DFS Lineups

Yordan Alvarez - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for FanDuel and DraftKings on May 6th, 2022. Brian Entrekin's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Welcome back to another edition of the FREE DraftKings and FanDuel MLB DFS picks. Today we have a massive 13-game slate on tap. That means we should have pitching for days and ways to stack. We have some elite arms tonight in Scherzer, Gausman, and Cole, with some near-elite options. The primary concern for tonight is the chance for rain in five of the 13 games, so keep a close eye on that situation.

With a large slate, there will be many ways to build tonight. You can pay up for two aces, an ace and Sandy, or Sandy and another discounted option on DK. On FD, there are many ways to go on the one pitcher site, leading to more of a sister rate play. There are at least three young arms making debuts and maybe a few more on the hitting side—some nice places to target with some discounts. If you want a rundown of the entire slate, listen to MLB DFS Quick Hits.

This article will provide my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for Fanduel and DraftKings on 5/6/2022. The lineup will range from some elite players to mid-priced options, and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for other sports. It's also essential to monitor injury news and today's MLB starting lineups. DraftKings, FanDuel Pitchers - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Sandy Alcantara - P, MIA at SD ($7,700 DK, $9,000 FD)

Alcantara is too cheap on both sites tonight. He is coming off a rough start versus Seattle, where he allowed five runs and walked four, but at least he still struck out six. His previous two starts were solid as he allowed one run over 14 innings and struck out 11. Alcantara's strikeouts are down this season which is turning some off, but he is still better than his price points tonight. He faces a Padres team who is striking out over 22% of the time versus RHP. Enjoy the discount on Alcantara for your late-night pitching hammer.

Logan Gilbert - P, SEA vs. TB ($9,200 DK, $9,300 FD)

Gilbert has been outstanding this season. He has thrown at least five innings in each start for 28 innings and allowed just two runs. Gilbert has struck out 27 over that stretch with a 4.1% barrel rate. He will face a tricky Rays team tonight who is striking out less than 21% of the time versus RHP this season. Gilbert makes for a great tournament play as he will likely get lost in the priced-up aces.

Other options: Max Scherzer at PHI ($10,500 DK, $10,800 FD), Eric Lauer at ATL ($10,300 DK, $9,500 FD), Kevin Gausman at CLE ($10,000 DK, $10,400 FD), Gerrit Cole vs. TEX ($9,700 DK, $10,000 FD), Chad Kuhl at ARI ($7,900 DK, $9,000 FD), Jordan Lyles vs. KC ($5,100 DK, $7,000 FD)

DraftKings, FanDuel Infielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Rowdy Tellez - 1B, MIL at Huascar Ynoa ($4,400 DK, $3,000 FD)

Rowdy racked up two more hits on Thursday, two doubles, and now hit safely in five of his last six starts for a near .450 batting average. He has four home runs and four doubles over the stretch with a 14.3% walk rate and 13 RBI. Tellez is barreling the ball over 40% of the time with a hard-hit rate over 50%. He will face Ynoa tonight, who has allowed ten runs over his first two starts (6.2 innings). Milwaukee is a great stack tonight, starting with the red-hot Rowdy.

Ketel Marte - 2B/OF, ARI vs. Chad Kuhl ($4,000 DK, $2,900 FD)

Marte got off to a horrible start to the season but enters Friday night riding a five-game hitting streak where he is hitting .333. He has an extra-base hit in each game and at least one run scored. Marte is barreling the ball 7.7% of the time with a 69.2% hard-hit rate. He faces Kuhl tonight, who has been solid this year but just last season allowed LHH to hit .257 with a .485 SLG with two HR/9. The time is now to enjoy a discounted Marte as he continues to heat up.

Rafael Devers- 3B, BOS vs. Vince Velasquez ($5,400 DK, $3,700 FD)

Vinny V is on the slate tonight, so it is time to stack up. That starts with Devers, who has hit safely in ten of his last 11 games for an average over .300. He has four extra-base hits over that stretch with a .146 ISO and .797 OPS. Devers is barreling the ball 8.8% of the time with a 61.8% hard-hit rate. Velasquez comes into tonight's game, getting hit around in two of his last three starts. Last season he allowed LHH to hit .297 with a .552 SLG and 1.8 HR/9. The Red Sox should be a big play tonight.

Bo Bichette- SS, TOR at Shane Bieber ($4,500 DK, $3,700 FD)

Bichette is smashing at the plate of late, and he makes for an excellent GPP play tonight versus Bieber. Bichette racked up three more hits on Thursday, extending his hitting streak to six games. He is hitting nearly .500 over that stretch with four extra-base hits and a wRC+ over 250. Bichette is barreling the ball almost 15% of the time with a hard-hit rate near 70%. He has been mashing and will likely come in at lowly rostered versus Bieber tonight.

DraftKings, FanDuel Outfielders - MLB DFS Lineup Picks

Cedric Mullins- OF, BAL vs. Carlos Hernandez ($3,900 DK, $3,200 FD)

On Thursday, Mullins collected a double and a home run and has hit safely in six straight games with six extra-base hits. Over the hit streak, Mullins has an ISO over .260 with an OPS near 1.000. He faces Hernandez tonight, who has allowed at least three runs in each start with a barrel rate over 12%. The Orioles have been a substantial value this whole week, and that does not change tonight. So start your O's stacks with Mullins or even use Mullins as a one-off.

Yordan Alvarez - OF, HOU vs. Beau Brieske ($5,200 DK, $4,300)

On Thursday, Alvarez collected two more hits and now has hits in 11 of his last 12 games for a near .375 average. He has five home runs with a near 18% walk rate. Alvarez is crushing nearly everything he hits with a barrel rate near 30% and a hard-hit rate near 70%. He faces Brieske tonight, who has allowed three home runs over his first two starts with a 16.7% barrel rate and 37% hard-hit rate. Stack up the Astros tonight and start with Yordan.

Yadiel Hernandez- OF, WAS at Jaime Barria ($3,400 DK, $3,100 FD)

Coors or no Coors, Yadiel continues to rake. He is hitting .371 to start the season with a .161 ISO and .926 OPS. The success makes sense as he is mashing with a 14.3% barrel rate and 44.9% hard-hit rate. He has a nice matchup tonight versus Barria (maybe Lorenzen), who allows 11% barrels and a 41% hard-hit rate. Barria has always been hit hard by LHH, and this season is no different as they are hitting .353 with a .706 SLG. Hernandez makes for one of the better values today and a nice piece in a Nats stack.

DraftKings, FanDuel MLB DFS Stacks

Baltimore Orioles vs. Kansas City Royals (Carlos Hernandez, RHP)

We are going right back to the O's value well tonight. Start your stacks with the too cheap Mullins and pair them with Ryan Mountcastle, Trey Mancini, Austin Hays, and others.

Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox (Vince Velasquez, RHP)

We always love to target Vinny V, so let's stack some Red Sox. Start things off with Devers and pair with the red hot JD Martinez, Xander Bogaerts, and the currently heating up Trevor Story.

Milwaukee Brewers at Atlanta Braves (Huascar Ynoa, RHP)

The Brewers bats went off versus the Reds, most people do, so let's keep stacking the Crew versus the very hittable Ynoa. Start your stacks with Tellez and then pair with Kolten Wong, Willy Adames, and more.

Many ways to stack on this 13-game slate.
