DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (2/9/18): NBA DFS Lineups

Hello, all! We're back with another big Friday slate. There were plenty of deals at the deadline, including the Cavs trading nearly their entire team. The majority of those players are expected to sit tonight, which means there are teams that will be running short rotations. This is the slate to take advantage of that.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 2/9/18. I'll break down some of the best players at each position in regards to price versus projected production. I'll also identify some possible GPP considerations at each position as well.

As always, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @BalesSJustin with any questions or comments for today's slate or slates going forward. Let's get to it!

DraftKings DFS Guards

Zach LaVine - PG/SG, vs MIN ($6,100)

LaVine recently returned from a major injury, averaging 1.18 fantasy points per minute through 11 games. He has caught fire over his last three games, averaging 23.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals in 28.2 minutes per game. He has also played 31 minutes in each of his last two games, and he is expected to see 30+ minutes again tonight. He gets a decent matchup against his former team, and LaVine's team is still entirely too cheap. He can safely be used in all leagues.

Jose Calderon - PG, at ATL ($3,200)

The Cavs recently traded Derrick Rose, Isaiah Thomas, Dwyane Wade, and Iman Shumpert at guard. Furthermore, the guards they received, George Hill, Rodney Hood, and Jordan Clarkson are doubtful to make their Cleveland debuts. London Perrantes is the only other true point guard on the team, and he is on a two-way contract. It's more likely that Calderon will be the PG locked into big minutes. He comes with an extremely low price tag, and should easily hit value if he is given 30+ minutes tonight. Keep an eye on who the Cavs announce as starters before plugging Calderon into your lineups.

Other Guards to Consider: Kyrie Irving, Jamal Murray, Victor Oladipo, Donovan Mitchell, E'Twaun Moore

DraftKings DFS Forwards

LeBron James - SF/PF, at ATL ($12,100)

The Cavs did not only trade guards, as they also unloaded Jae Crowder and Channing Frye, while Larry Nance Jr. is unlikely to play tonight. James is going to be forced into big minutes tonight, and he will need to be the focal point of the offense. He will likely run point guard, adding to his potential assist total. He is coming off an elite 80.5 fantasy point performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves. James is averaging a 25.0/6.0/14.0/1.3/1.7 line against the Atlanta Hawks this season, and he can be used in all leagues tonight.

Zach Randolph - PF/C, vs POR ($5,700)

Randolph receives night's off on occasion, but when he is starting, he is a great option for his price tag. Over his last five games, Randolph is averaging 15.6 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.4 steals in 28.2 minutes per game. He has scored 30+ fantasy points in four of his last five games, including a 47 fantasy point performance against the New Orleans Pelicans. Once Randolph has been announced as the starter tonight, he can be used in all leagues.

Other Forwards to Consider: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Jeff Green, Khris Middleton, Robert Covington, Nikola Mirotic

DraftKings DFS Centers

Andre Drummond - C, vs LAC ($10,200)

Drummond comes with a high price tag, but it is tough to ignore him at this point. He has looked elite since the Blake Griffin trade, as he is averaging 18.4 points, 20.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 2.6 blocks, and 2.8 steals in 34.2 minutes over his last five games. Drummond has scored 50+ fantasy points in four of his last five games, including games with 64.75, 64, and 71 fantasy points. He gets a matchup against the Los Angeles Clippers, who rank 24th in the NBA against centers, and Drummond can be used in all leagues tonight.

Other Centers to Consider: Clint Capela, Rudy Gobert, Nikola Jokic
