DraftKings Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (12/20/19): NBA DFS Lineups

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on December 20, 2019. Jake Finnen provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

With a 10-game slate, it's easy to get carried away focusing on the same names. It's hard to throw around risk when you know there is a safe, low-priced player out there ready to make and break every lineup. With that, expect lower-priced players with either minimized risk or maximized upside.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/20/19. You can also check out today's FanDuel lineup picksRemember to monitor injury news as the slate can completely change before line-up lock.

You can find me in the NBA Chat Room or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

DraftKings DFS Guards

Langston Galloway - PG/SG, @ BOS ($3,300)

Despite the Celtics defense being intimidating on paper, they will give up shots to players willing to shoot. Luckily for us, Langston Galloway fits that role on the Pistons perfectly. Even if he isn't the most efficient, he's been incredibly solid off the bench and his scoring has been needed. That really shouldn't change moving forward with how the Pistons rotation is set up, but there is always the possibility he just doesn't shoot well. Even if that is the case, I think Galloway is going to find other ways to be productive.

 Shabazz Napier - PG/SG, @ DEN ($3,400)

Normally, with younger and more inexperienced players, I avoid playing in Denver. You never know how the altitude is going to impact certain players, especially shooters. I don't worry as much with veterans, so that's why I feel confident Shabazz Napier is simply going to continue his streak of production. It hasn't been the most impressive performances, but he is cheap and doing more than enough to exceed his projected.

DraftKings DFS Forwards

Dillon Brooks - SG/SF, @ CLE ($4,900)

Despite you thinking I have totally given up on this article with this pick, I shouldn't be the one to tell that Dillon Brooks does exactly what he's not supposed to do every night. If he plays a good team, he takes a ton of shots and misses. When he plays bad teams, he makes a ton of shots when the Grizzlies are up. Since he's playing Cleveland, I'm going with optimism in the sense that he should have a ton of open shots tonight, and in trying to stay positive, he should make them. His price is low for the upside that he could have another solid game, but this is Dillon Brooks we are talking about. You just have to hope and let it ride.

Chris Boucher - PF/C, vs WAS($3,300)

If you didn't manage to capitalize on Chris Boucher's emergence earlier in the season, you need to find the next time he has a breakout game. His price and upside are way too good in most cases, but he needs minutes. If nothing changes with the Raptors lineup tonight, against a downright bad opponent, Boucher only has upside from getting extra minutes the starters leave him. He is going to play regardless, but we need closer to 20 minutes from Boucher is we want worthwhile production. Monitor the injuries in this game and if any one of the Raptors big men decide to sit, Boucher needs to be inserted in nearly every lineup.

DraftKings DFS Centers

Markieff Morris - PF/C, vs BOS ($5,000)

Contrary to Chris Boucher, we know Markieff Morris will get the minutes, he just needs to play well to break through his somewhat low ceiling. Since he is only at $5K today, he only needs to score 25-35 points to beat his projected. Since the Celtics are good, but only so good, there is no one in their frontcourt that really competes with the versatility of Morris. He is going to be an annoyance for the Celtics tonight through rebounding and spacing. Like I said before though, he HAS to have a good night for this pick to be worth it.
