The top daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on June 17th, 2019. Daniel E. Dobish's MLB DFS analysis and sleepers for building optimal DFS rosters.

Monday's slate of Major League Baseball has 12 games on tap, beginning at 7:05p.m. ET. Be sure to double-check the weather and the lineups before finalizing your roster.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings on 6/17/19. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. You can also read more DFS advice and lineup picks for sites like FanDuel, and other sports too.

Today's Weather

The biggest trouble spot in Major League Baseball will be Washington D.C., as the Phillies and Nationals face a 50 percent or greater chance of precipitation from the late-afternoon hours through the overnight. It's possible this game is postponed if the rain is hard enough, especially since these division rivals meet rather frequently. It's probably best to just stay away from all Phils and Nats for DFS purposes.

The same holds true for the Astros and Reds from Great American Ball Park. This interleague opener faces a 45 percent or greater chance of light rain, tapering off around midnight ET. Wind will not be a factor at any of the MLB venues.

DraftKings DFS Starting Pitchers

Mike Fiers - P, OAK vs. BAL ($7,700)

Fiers will toe the slab against the Orioles, and the A's are heavily favored at home. The righty is 4-2 with a 3.60 ERA and .196 opponent batting average across 40 innings in seven home outings. He hasn't faced the Orioles this season, but he is 3-1 with a 2.08 ERA and .196 opponent batting average over 26 innings across four starts against Baltimore since the start of the 2016 season. At this price he is a strong DFS value.

Kenta Maeda - P, LAD vs. SF ($9,000)

Maeda faces the light-hitting Giants at Dodger Stadium. He allowed seven hits and two walks with three strikeouts over five scoreless innings in his first outing against the Giants in San Francisco on April 29. Maeda's splits have been amazing, as he is 2-3 with a 5.67 ERA across 39 2/3 innings over eight outings on the road. However, he is 5-0 with a 1.69 ERA and .145 batting average against in his first starts at Dodger Stadium this season. Take advantage of the lower price tag with Maeda pitching the heavily favored Dodgers to a victory.

DraftKings DFS Infielders

Brian McCann - C, ATL vs. NYM ($3,900)

McCann will face the homer-prone RHP Zack Wheeler in Monday's series opener. The Braves backstop has posted a .308/.369/.519 slash line across 104 at-bats vs. RHP, posting four doubles, six home runs and 24 RBI with 12 walks and just 12 strikeouts.

Freddie Freeman - 1B, ATL vs. NYM ($5,200)

Freeman has posted a .500 average (10-for-20) with three doubles, two homers, six RBI, 12 walks and just five strikeouts over his career against Wheeler. He is also 9-for-30 (.300) with a double, a triple, two homers and 10 RBI over the past week.

Ozzie Albies - 2B, ATL vs. NYM ($4,400)

Are you seeing a pattern here? Stack the Braves against Wheeler, especially since Albies is hitting .414 (12-for-29) with five doubles, three homers and nine RBI across the past seven days, posting a 1.348 OPS during the impressive span.

Tommy La Stella - 3B/2B, LAA at TOR ($4,700)

La Stella's DFS salary has been on the rise, as his career year continues and is showing no signs of slowing. He is slashing .327/.391/.519 on the road this season, going 34-for-104 with five doubles, five homers and 14 RBI with nine walks and just nine strikeouts away from the Big A. He can also be used at second base if you're not feeling Albies, or liking the Atlanta stack strategy.

Fernando Tatis Jr. - SS, SD vs. MIL ($5,300)

Tatis looks to continue his red-hot month of June against RHP Jhoulys Chacin and the visiting Brew Crew. The youngster has rolled up a .436/.476/.821 slash line with a 1.297 OPS in June, going 17-for-39 with three doubles, three triples, two home runs, seven RBI and two steals so far.

DraftKings DFS Outfielders

Garrett Cooper - OF/1B, MIA at STL ($4,500)

Cooper's name might not be on the tip of the casual fan's tongue, but savvy DFS players know him well. He is 20-for-51 (.392) with a double, a triple, three homers and nine RBI so far in the month of June. That includes a 5-for-12 (.417) performance with a triple, a home run and four RBI in a three-game set last week against the Cards, including a three-hit performance in the game against RHP Miles Mikolas on June 12.

Hunter Renfroe - OF, SD vs. MIL ($4,900)

Renfroe will look to remain hot in Monday's series opener against the Brewers and RHP Jhoulys Chacin. He has been on fire over the past week, going 9-for-26 (.346) with a double, five homers and eight RBI while posting a 1.332 OPS.
