DraftKings CFB DFS Lineup Picks: Week 8 Daily College Fantasy Football - Saturday Prime Time (10/29/22)

DeWayne McBride - CFB DFS Lineup Picks, Daily College Fantasy Football, NFL Draft Rookies

Mike's DraftKings daily fantasy college football lineup picks for the Saturday Prime Time Week 9 (10/29/22) slate. His CFB DFS lineup picks and DFS sleepers will help you win.

The fun doesn't end with the main slate! It never does, right? We have a heavy prime time slate this week with nine games on the docket. How great is that? The 7pm kicks include the border war with Kentucky up in Knoxville. USC heads to the desert to take on Arizona. UAB heads down to Boca to take on FAU with their fancy uniforms. Coastal Carolina heads to Huntington to take on Marshall.

A half-hour later finds Ole Miss in Aggleland and Sparky taking on the Ralphies. We also have a slate-breaker with Baylor in Lubbock. Little Brother heads over to Ann Arbor to take on Michigan. We close the night out with Pitt on Tobacco Road to take on the Tarheels. There are some great possibilities on this one!

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy college football lineup picks for DraftKings on 10/29/22 locking at 7 pm eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions for players at quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Quarterbacks

Grayson McCall, Coastal Carolina ($7,600)

Caleb Williams is so much more expensive than everyone else that it seems like a good move to pay down since his matchup with Arizona is almost too easy. McCall plays for a team that doesn't have much of a run game and what little they do have he is also involved in. This feels like a game where he's going to have to get the Cleers going through the air again. That's not a bad thing. McCall has 18 touchdown passes and three rushing touchdowns while only turning the ball over twice this season. The floor is more than worth the price on McCall here.

Jayden de Laura, Arizona ($7,000)

McCall doesn't provide much of a ceiling against a ball-control team like Marshall. The ceiling is with de Laura. Arizona promises to be behind early and often. We have seen de Laura clear 400 passing yards in three of the last four games while the Wildcats play catch-up. He has 13 touchdowns to three interceptions in those games. USC can be had on the back end and really hasn't played well on the road. There's a lot of potential with de Laura here as the Wildcats try to keep up with that offense.

J.T. Shrout, Colorado ($4,500)

Owen McCown has already been ruled out, so Shrout is getting another start and this time he's at minimum price. The ceiling is low here, but Arizona State's pass defense hasn't been great. If Shrout can get us double-digit points at minimum price, it opens up a lot of other options in our lineups. We will finally get to see what Shrout can do over the course of a full game. There is a chance it won't be pretty, but it might still pay off.

Also consider: Caleb Williams, USC ($9,800); Will Levis, Kentucky ($7,100); Behren Morton, Texas Tech ($6,800); J.J. McCarthy, Michigan ($6,000)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Running Backs

DeWayne McBride, UAB ($8,500)

McBride's lost fumbles last week may have cost the Blazers the game, but he's too good of a back to run from. Despite those miscues, McBride still ran for 197 yards and scored 20.7 DraftKings points without the benefit of a touchdown. By the way, that was his lowest fantasy output of the season. That means his floor is 20. He's not going to have a floor game against a FAU team that is allowing 167 rush yards per game.

Xazavian Valladay, Arizona State ($6,700)

X has yet to really have a ceiling game for the Sun Devils. Part of that is because Emory Jones runs about as much as he does. Another part is the negative game scripts (USC, Oklahoma State) or good defenses (Stanford, Utah) that he has gone up against. The Ralphies have allowed the second-most rushing yards in FBS at 253.7 yards per game. There's going to me more than enough work, which finally gives Valladay the shot at a ceiling game.

Devon Achane, Texas A&M ($6,000)

Yes, the Aggies lost to South Carolina, but you can't blame Achane. It was another productive day for him with 99 rushing yards, seven receptions, and a touchdown. The Aggies' offense is still a work in progress across the board with the exception of Achane. We saw him more involved than he has been in any game so far this season and his price barely budged. I'm still buying at this price.

Qualan Jones, Baylor ($3,600)

Jones still gets touches because he is a better blocker and better receiver than Reese. He still manages around 8-12 touches per game. That's not going to break a slate, but if you absolutely love your lineup and are strapped for cash, Jones has 24.5 DraftKings points over the last two games. You could do worse.

Also consider: Blake Corum, Michigan ($7,900); Israel Abanikanda, Pittsburgh ($7,700); Khalan Laborn, Marshall ($6,300); Richard Reese, Baylor ($5,900); Donovan Edwards, Michigan ($5,500)

DraftKings CFB DFS Picks - Wide Receivers

Mario Williams, USC ($6,800)

Williams ate a whole bunch of targets in the time that Jordan Addison was off the field against Utah. Addison is travelling with the team, but it sounds like his chances of playing are 50/50 at best. If Addison is out, fire up Williams. If he's not, my quick pivot will be to Badger or Jacob Cowing. I don't trust Jalin Hyatt with Tillman saying that he's playing this week.

Myles Price, Texas Tech ($5,600)

Price was eating a ton of targets before exiting the Kansas State game in Week 5 with an ankle injury. He is good to go this week, which means the guy who hauled in 13 passes against Texas is going to be back at it. Price is priced too low for the volume he can get. Xavier White is still the guy that can blow past the defense, but Price is the sure points via reception. There is an avenue for both to be successful in this offense.

Tayvion Robinson, Kentucky ($5,400)

If you're looking for the reason that Kentucky has struggled running the ball in the last couple weeks, the absence of Robinson is a big reason why. It's also why Levis has struggled at times. Robinson's game-breaking speed is necessary to soften up the defense so Rodriguez and Smoke have some room to run. Robinson is expected to play against a Tennessee team that has allowed the second-most passing yards per game in FBS this year. He has a massive ceiling for this price.

Evan Stewart, Texas A&M ($4,600)

The injury to Max Johnson has thrown this offense into disarray. You could argue that Connor Weigman played well enough that he should at least split time with Haynes King. We know what to expect from him. Throughout all of this chaos, Stewart has taken over as the number one receiver with Ainias Smith down and he's still not priced like it. Stewart has 19 receptions for 249 yards over the last three games. If he finds the end zone with those kinds of numbers, he'll break some slates at this price.

Also consider: Josh Downs, North Carolina ($8,000); Elijah Badger, Arizona State ($6,900); Cedric Tillman, Tennessee ($6,500); Ronnie Bell, Michigan ($5,800); Trea Shropshire, UAB ($4,900); Moose Muhammad III, Texas A&M ($4,200)

College Football DFS Game Stack Options

You know which team stacks are often good, but this isn't baseball. Game stacks can and do work. I prefer more team stacks on this slate, but there is some goodness in one of these games for sure. Which one is it?

Baylor at Texas Tech

Baylor keeps putting up points even in losses. We more or less know what to expect from Tech now no matter what Coach Maguire tries to say. Behren Morton will play most, if not all of the game. Blake Shapen is a great runback option. You could play any of the top two backs from either team. Reese and Sa'Rodorick Thompson continue to be my favorites, but Tahj Brooks is perpetually dangerous with the ball in his hands. I don't like the all-or-nothing prospect of Monaray Baldwin. Ben Sims is the safest Baylor wideout, but he has no upside. Price and White are by far my favorite Tech receiver's and the only ones I will have exposure to.

Honorable Mention: USC at Arizona, Arizona State at Colorado
