We are back from the holiday break! We had a small slate last night, but even I skipped it. It was a mess with all of the instability with Morgan State's lineups and they were playing Virginia. I'll get back on the horse with this doozy.
We begin in Norman with Central Arkansas paying a visit. Next up is Coppin State in College Park to take on the Terps. Sam Houston heads up to Lubbock to take on Tech. We have UCLA beginning Pac-12 play for the final time in Corvallis. We end this in Eugene with Bronny and USC in town.
In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 12/28/23, starting at 7 PM Eastern. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the high, middle, and lower end of the salary scale. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings CBB DFS Guards
Jahmir Young, Maryland ($8,700)
The only thing that can slow Miller down right now is a blowout. He has 99.5 DraftKings points in the last two games and has at least 32 DraftKings points in every game since Thanksgiving except for the blowout win over Alcorn State. Coppin should at least hang around for a while, so Young should be in line for another 40+ DraftKings point effort.
Jackson Shelstad, Oregon ($7,300)
This is Shelstad's job now and no one is taking it away. He struggled a bit in Sioux Falls against Syracuse, but was back on track against Kent before the break. Shelstad was mostly a scorer when he first entered the starting five. Now, he is starting to contribute across multiple categories as well. His game has grown a lot in the last month, and he will only get better.
Dexter Akanno, Oregon State ($6,200)
Akanno is back in the starting lineup after missing eight days a couple of weeks ago. He is picking up where he left off by lighting up the scoreboard and not doing much else. Hey, there's still value in that when he's not priced that high. Akanno has scored at least 16 points in the last three games he has completed and has been in double figures in every game since the disaster against Nebraska on November 18. We're getting a floor of 15 out of Akanno, and I'm okay with that.
Rivaldo Soares, Oklahoma ($4,800)
The Oregon transfer started slowly in Norman, but he has played big minutes off the bench in the last three games. Soares has 31 points, 20 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block in 73 minutes in those three games. If we're going to get this kind of production out of Soares, I'm happy at this price.
Also consider: Isaiah Collier, USC ($7,700); Sebastian Mack, UCLA ($7,500); Javian McCollum, Oklahoma ($7,000); Jadrian Tracey, Oregon ($5,800); Chance McMillian, Texas Tech ($5,500); Bronny James, USC ($4,000)

DraftKings CBB DFS Forwards
Kwame Evans Jr., Oregon ($7,500)
Evans has been outstanding since entering the starting lineup. Perhaps my favorite thing is that he isn't reliant on scoring. He can score, but his floor is plenty high enough just from the rebounding and rim protecting. Add in the strong defense on the other end of the court and the fact that he's still just a freshman, and you have a player that could have a ceiling game at any time.
Donta Scott, Maryland ($6,400)
This is the Scott that we are used to. Over the last two games, Scott has 32 points, 13 rebounds, an assist, a steal, and two blocks. It has helped the production of the players around him as well. We hope the minutes stay up for Scott. With him playing like he has lately, they should. Maryland needs his shooting to make a run for the tournament.
Michael Rataj, Oregon State ($5,400)
Rataj got the starts with Akanno out, but he played so well in that stretch that the Beavers have kept him in the lineup. Rataj isn't scoring as much with Akanno around, but he is still pulling down a ton of rebounds (35 in the last four games) and playing strong defense. Rataj feels like a safe value play with guaranteed minutes and good counting stats.
Joshua Morgan, USC ($5,100)
Morgan is one of the best shot blockers in the country, but he is almost a liability on offense and is often in foul trouble. Couple that with many mouths -- highly recruited mouths -- to feed and we see why Morgan isn't playing a ton of minutes. Still, the rim protection and rebounding is elite for the minutes he plays, and can rack up DFS points in a hurry.
Also consider: Julian Reese, Maryland ($8,300); Justin Winston, Coppin State ($7,000); John Hugley IV, Oklahoma ($5,900); KC Ibekwe, Oregon State ($5,200); DJ Rodman, USC ($4,700)
