DraftKings and FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (11/28/22): NBA DFS Lineups

NBA DFS sleepers and values plays for DraftKings and FanDuel on November 28, 2022. Juan Carlos Blanco gives you his top NBA DFS picks and lineup targets.

We have a big 10-game slate on tap Monday night, which gives us an expansive player pool to work with. There should also be some very good DFS environments, as three contests have projected totals of greater than 230 points as of Monday morning. However, there are also three double-digit favorites, something to be mindful of when rostering players with salaries in the high four figures or even five figures from those games.

There are some very good options in favorable matchups across each price point on the salary cap at each position, setting up what should be a fun night of lineup construction for both cash games and tournaments.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/28/22. Remember to monitor the NBA injury report as the slate can completely change before lineups lock, which is at 7:00 pm ET tonight. Good luck, RotoBallers.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Tyrese Haliburton - PG, IND at LAL ($9,400 DK; $9,400 FD)

Haliburton is now averaging 47.1 DK/45.2 FD points per game after comfortably averaging a double-double over his last six games with 17.5 points, 12.7 assists, and 1.7 steals per contest in his last six games. The star guard has consistently shown a floor of approximately 40 fantasy points on either site, and he's shooting an impressive 48.0 percent over 10 November contests thus far while also taking an aggressive 7.8 three-point attempts per game. Monday, Haliburton draws a matchup against a Lakers squad that plays fast, gives up plenty of points, and has been more vulnerable to long-distance shooting of late.

The Lakers are tied for sixth-most assists allowed per contest (26.2) and are yielding a 38.5% success rate from three-point range in the last three contests, compared to a 34.0% figure for the season. Los Angeles is also giving up the third-most fantasy points per game on both DK (53.1) and FD (47.4) to point guards, and the Lakers are averaging the third-most possessions per game (106.3), which should bump up Indiana's already fast pace in a game carrying the highest projected total of the night.

Kyrie Irving - PG, BKN vs. ORL ($8,400 DK; $8,100 FD)

Irving has picked up the pace after a slow first game following his extended suspension, as he's averaged 24.0 points on 56.9 percent shooting, including 40.0 percent from three-point range, in the subsequent three contests. Irving is averaging an encouraging 17 shots per contest during that span, and Monday could offer him a platform for a game reminiscent of his early-season body of work, which included six consecutive games of more than 40 fantasy points.

The Magic are allowing the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating to PGs (30.4), along with over 51 fantasy points per game to point guards on either site. Orlando has also surrendered the second-most assists per contest (29.7) in the last three games and has conceded 48.3 percent shooting to PGs specifically, adding to Irving's appeal at salaries he has plenty of ability to offer a 5x or greater return on.

Jamal Murray - PG, DEN vs. HOU ($7,000 DK; $6,800 FD)

Murray's salaries have been surprisingly modest all season on both sites, an edge we'll naturally take if we can get it, especially with the talented guard back to playing a normal allotment of minutes. Murray has logged at least 30 minutes in seven straight coming into Monday, a stretch in which he's averaging a well-rounded 18.0, 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals while averaging 17.1 shots per contest. Murray has scored over 30 fantasy points on either site in each of those games, including a pair of tallies over 40.

The Rockets have facilitated an NBA-high 57.3 DK/56 FD points per game to point guards, along with the most assists (10.5) and most steals (2.8) to the position. Houston is also ranked in the bottom five in points and made threes given up to ones, and it's allowed the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating (28.0) to the position overall.

ALSO CONSIDER: Trae Young - PG, ATL at PHI ($9,900 DK; $9,800 FD); Jalen Green, HOU at DEN ($7,800; $6,700 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

LeBron James - PF, LAL vs. IND ($10,900 DK, $10,200 FD)

James could well take the floor without Anthony Davis (calf) again Monday night, a scenario in which he scored 64.3 DK/58.7 FD points across 35 minutes against the Spurs on Saturday night. With Davis on the floor Friday night, James was also very productive in what was his return from a five-game absence due to an adductor injury, posting 42.5 DK/41.1 FD points across 33 minutes. The matchup lines up well for LeBron under any circumstance Monday, as the Pacers-Lakers clash lines up as one of the best game environments of the night and has the highest projected total of the slate at 235 points.

The Pacers are surrendering the ninth-highest offensive efficiency rating to power forwards (28.2) and rank in the bottom half of the league in multiple categories including rebounds, blocks and steals allowed per game. What's more no club has given up more assists in the last three games than the 30.3 per contest Indiana has surrendered, while the 52.5% shooting they've allowed in that same span is the third-highest figure in the league.

Ben Simmons - PF/C, BKN vs. ORL ($7,100 DK; $7,300 FD)

Simmons is a second member of the Nets that could well outpace his salaries Monday, with both his recent body of work and the matchup supporting that notion. After a very uneven start to his Nets tenure, Simmons has thrived over the last five games, averaging 16.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.4 blocks across 33 minutes while shooting 83.7 percent in that span. The versatile big man should be in a scenario conducive to more of the same against the Magic, who have been vulnerable in the frontcourt all season.

Orlando is allowing over 40 fantasy points per game to power forwards, and the Magic's aforementioned recent tendency to allow a high number of assists could certainly benefit Simmons. So, too, could the fact that the Magic ranks in the bottom half of the league with 53.2 rebounds per away game surrendered, and that they're tied for fourth-most steals surrendered per contest (8.6).

Aaron Gordon - PF, DEN vs. HOU ($6,300 DK; $6,300 FD)

Gordon could make for a great pairing with Murray against the vulnerable Rockets, especially considering he comes into the game already churning out some of his best production of the season. The big man has averaged 20.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 blocks on incandescently hot 66.7 percent shooting, including 58.8 percent from three-point range, in his last six games, a stretch during which he's eclipsed 50 DK points on three occasions and 50 FD points in two instances, including the last pair of contests.

Michael Porter Jr. is likely to remain out Monday as well due to his heel injury, and Gordon is already averaging 45.4 DK/45.3 FD points per 36 minutes with his teammate off the floor this season. Then, the Rockets are allowing the third-highest offensive efficiency rating to power forwards (30.0), along with over 48 DK and over 46 FD points to the position.

ALSO CONSIDER: Lonnie Walker IV - SG/SF, LAL vs. IND ($5,300 DK; $5,400 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Myles Turner - IND at LAL ($7,500 DK; $7,900 FD)

Turner was severely outplayed down low by the Clippers' Ivica Zubac on Sunday, with the big man racking up a jaw-dropping 31-point, 29-rebound double-double across 36 minutes. Therefore, he could have a bit of a chip on his shoulder Monday night as he returns to the proverbial scene of the crime for a matchup against a Lakers team that ranks in the bottom-10 of the league in several metrics versus centers, as well as in blocks allowed per contest. The latter figure is especially relevant when considering Turner, who's recorded multiple rejections in 11 of 13 games.

Los Angeles is surrendering the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (34.0), along with over 58 fantasy points per game to the position. The Lakers have also conceded the most rebounds per contest (17.9) and seventh-most steals (1.6) per game to fives, as well as the ninth-most blocks per contest overall (5.3).

Nikola Vucevic - CHI at UTA ($7,400 DK; $7,500 FD)

As good as the matchup against the Pacers has been for centers, the one versus the Jazz has been nearly as inviting. Vucevic is naturally more than capable of exploiting such weaknesses, and he enters Monday having posted four double-doubles in his last five games while averaging over 35 fantasy points per contest on either site during that span. Vucevic's current figure of 11.5 rebounds per game is also his third highest in that category since the 2012-13 season, and he's even had a nice uptick in three-point shooting this season (36.0%) after dipping to a 31.4% last season.

The Bulls-Jazz clash also carries the second-highest total of the night at 234.5 points, right behind the aforementioned Lakers-Pacers battle. The Jazz are allowing the third-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (34.8), along with over 61 fantasy points per game on either site. Vucevic should be able to frequently overpower Kelly Olynyk down low, and Utah checks in ranked in the bottom five of the league in points, rebounds, steals and blocks allowed to fives. Additionally, Vucevic will have an excellent one-on-one matchup shooting-wise whenever Olynyk is his defender, as the latter has surrendered shooting percentages of between 41.2% and 60.3% in the top four most common ranges out to 24 feet.

Jonas Valanciunas - NOP vs. OKC ($5,900 DK; $5,500 FD)

Valanciunas is certainly showing a bit more volatility in his production than in recent seasons, but that's led to a nice drop in salary that makes him very appealing for tournaments Monday. The big man has a ceiling north of 50 fantasy points on either site, and he's eclipsed 40 fantasy points on multiple occasions already this season. Valanciunas is also lined up for a potentially big return on his modest salaries Monday night, as the Thunder have been one of the most defensively vulnerable teams to centers leaguewide thus far this season.

OKC checks in allowing the fifth-highest offensive efficiency rating to centers (34.6), as well over 58 fantasy points per game to the position on either site. The Thunder ranks in the bottom five in points, rebounds, assists and made threes allowed to fives as well, and they've even given up the fourth-most points in the paint per game (53.2), an area of the floor where just under 60% of Valaciunas' scoring is emanating from this season.

ALSO CONSIDER: Al Horford, BOS vs. CHA ($5,600 DK; $5,400 FD)
