BALLER MOVE: Add In 12-Team Leagues (especially if punting FG%)
OWNED IN: 47% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Danny Green is donning a new uniform in Toronto, but he is going to be the same old Danny Green that we have watched for years. Green is an excellent defender capable of providing valuable counting stats on the defensive end, as he flirted with averages of one steal and one block per game last year.
He is a talented three-point shooter as well who is good for 1.5-2.0 three’s per game and is a career 39.5% sharpshooter. He’s seen 32.0 minutes per game thus far, more than he ever saw in San Antonio, although one of those games came with Kawhi Leonard being rested. Green’s defense is something that will keep him on the floor, and his lack of turnovers (1.0 per game in his career) can prove to be very valuable to fantasy owners who play with the turnover category.
If you’re in need of a player with high defensive upside and good three-point shooting, Green is a viable option. However, almost all of Green’s field goal attempts will be from beyond the arc, which leaves him with a poor FG%. If you are punting field goal percentage, Green is an excellent pickup and sits at 47% ownership.
