Daily Fantasy Hockey Lineup Picks (12/12/17): NHL DFS Advice for FanDuel, DraftKings

Tom Vecchio's top daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for 12/12/17. Expert NHL DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for FanDuel and DraftKings.

We have a big nine game slate tonight, and there are fantastic options all across the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/12/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Brayden Schenn - C, STL vs TB (DK - $$6,700, FD - $7,400)

Schenn has six goals over his last four games, and is really in the zone right now and we want to ride the hot to some DFS goodness. Shenn is on the top forward line and the top power-play unit, so we will be seeing goo minutes out of him night in and night out. He has shown to be a fantastic cash game option over these past few weeks, so you will want to put him in those games. Might not have true tournament upside, since he is up against the Lightning, who are one of the better defensive teams in the league.

Teuvo Teravainen - W, CAR @ VGK (DK - $5,700, FD - $5,000)

Teravainen has three assists in his four games, and is a bit too cheap for his potential upside. The Hurricanes always have a high Expected Corsi For, since they just take a ton of shots every game. They may not convert all of those shots, but the shots themselves present plenty of DFS points. Putting him in a stack is a good idea for a few reasons, one he isn't very expensive, so you can fit another full stack in the same lineup that will put you in a good spot. The second reason he is in a good spot, is that the potential for low ownership, since there are many other big names offenses on the board.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Victor Hedman - D, TB @ STL (DK - $6,200, FD - $5,600)

Hedman is in line to see a ton of minutes tonight, since he will be up against the very dangerous St. Louis Blues top line. Hedman may not have a ton of offensive ability, but he takes over two shots per game, along with blocking over one shot per game. He is on the top defensive pairing and the top power-play unit, so if he does happen to score a real NHL point, he will crush value.

Seth Jones - D, CLS vs EDM (DK - $5,000, FD - $4,900)

Jones has three points in his last four games and is seeing a ton of minutes. He is on the top defensive pairing and the second power-play unit, so he will be seeing a consistent amount of minutes each game, and while minutes don't equal money like NBA, he still has plenty of opportunities to rack up points. Solid cash game option for tonight, since he is consistent and preforming well recently.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Sergei Bobrovsky - G, CLS vs EDM (DK - $8,200, FD - $8,800)

Bobrovsky is set to get the start tonight, and is in a good spot tonight since he is up against the Oilers, who have been struggling this season. Bobrovsky has 16 wins in 24 games this season, and is a -160 favorite at home. He is expensive, but he is really consistent in goal, stopping plenty of shots, he has a ton of chances to rack up points even if he lets in one goal.
