FanDuel, DraftKings NHL DFS Lineup Picks (1/13/18): Daily Fantasy Hockey Advice

Tom Vecchio's top NHL DFS lineup picks on FanDuel, DraftKings for 1/13/18. Expert daily fantasy hockey advice, sleepers & player recommendations.

We have a 7 game slate tonight, and there are good options on the board. Stacking will be big tonight, so look for some value where you can, and then load up on the star skaters where you can afford them.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 1/13/18. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Taylor Hall - W, NJ vs PHI (DK - $7,300, FD - $7,500)

Before the Devil's bye week these past few days, Hall had six points in his last three games, showing why they traded for him. If he can carry over that type of production, he will be good for any format tonight. He is on the top forward line and the top power-play unit, so a ton of ice time for him to rack up points. Hall is up against the Flyers who are giving up just under three goals per game, so you should feel good rostering against them. Hall is taking over 3.5 shots per game, and can chip in with a blocked shot every now and then.

David Krejci - C, BOS @ MON (DK - $4,300, FD - $5,600)

Krejci is the second line center for the Bruins and offers a bit of salary relief, but still has plenty of upside against a Montreal team who is on the brink of a dead season. If you are a fan of the NHL, this is one of the classic rivalries that we have, and always brings excitement even for a regular season game. I would use Krejci in a stack, specifically his power-play, to maximize his potential. He has five points in his last six games, and shouldn't be too highly owned on this slate, giving him plenty of GPP upside.

DFS Defenders to Consider

John Klingberg - D, DAL vs COL (DK - $5.900, FD - $5,700)

Klingberg is about as consistent as them come in NHL DFS, since he can do so much to rack up points. He is taking over two shots per game, blocking over one shot per game, and has 39 points in 43 games this season. Really filling up the stat sheet, along with being on the top defensive pairing and the top power-play unit. Klingberg is one of the more expensive options when it comes to defenders, but he is worth paying up for. You can use him for cash games, or as a one off in GPPs, since he can hit value in multiple ways.

Ryan Suter - D, MIN vs WPG (DK - $5,200, FD - $5,400)

Suter is on the top defensive pairing and the first power-play unit, so he will be on the ice plenty to allow him to score points. He has four points in his last three games, and is taking over two shots per game. He is priced in the mid range when it comes to defenders, and is generally pretty safe. Not sure if he has a ton of tournament upside, since the Wild play slower and lower scoring games.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Ben Bishop - G, DAL vs COL (DK - $7,900, FD - $8,500)

Bishop is a massive -200 favorite at home, making him one of the more appealing cash game options for tonight's slate. He has 19 wins in 34 games this season, and has only allowed six goals over his last four games. The Stars are known for playing strong defense, so he has plenty of support around him, which can help him get the win. He has seen 38 or more shots in two straight games, so plenty of opportunities to rack up some easy DFS points.
