Daily Fantasy Hockey Lineup Picks (11/02/17): NHL DFS Advice for FanDuel, DraftKings

Tom Vecchio's top daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for 11/02/17. Expert NHL DFS advice, sleepers & player recommendations for FanDuel and DraftKings.

We have a massive 12 game slate today, so there are a number of good options all across the board. As of now, there are five games with over-unders set at six goals, which is high. You want to target those games for some offense, and look to the home favorites for some goalies.

Vegas lines are big when it comes to picking games to target, and that's a good place to start for goalies. When it comes to skaters, goal totals is another main place to start. Usually 5.5 goals is average, so targets games at six, and can look for goalies in games with a total at five.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy hockey lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 11/02/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom. Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Forwards to Consider

Evgeni Malkin - C, PIT @ CGY (DK - $7,200, FD - $8,100)

Malkin is averaging one point per game so far this season, and is up against Calgary, who is giving up 2.75 goals per game. We all know how powerful the Penguins offense can be, so no reason to pass up Malkin. He is on the second forward line and the first power-play unit, so he will be seeing plenty of ice time. He is playable in all formats tonight, since he has a great base of points on a nightly basis, and also has plenty of upside due to the team he plays on.

Brayden Schenn - C, STL vs PHI (DK - $5,900, FD - $5,900)

If you like a good stroll down narrative street, then this is the spot for you. Schenn is up against his former team tonight, so cue up the revenge narrative. He has 11 points in 13 games this season, and he sees time on the first forward line, along with the first power-play unit. He has multi point upside on a normal night, and with the extra motivation going against his former team, he is primed for a big night. He really isn't that expensive, so load him up in any lineups you have.

DFS Defenders to Consider

Shea Weber - D, MON @ MIN (DK - $5,900, FD - $5,700)

Weber is averaging over three shots per game, along with having nine points in 12 games. Montreal didn't get off to the hottest start this season, but they have won two straight games, and scored 13 goals over that span. Weber is on the first defensive pairing and the first power-play unit, so he will be seeing plenty of ice time to rack up the points. He is one of the best defenders in the league, his team just got off to a rough start. Feel confident playing him in any lineup.

Jake Muzzin - D, LA vs TOR (DK - $4,700, FD - $5,100)

Muzzin has nine points in 12 games this season, and is averaging almost three shots per game. The Kings are off to a very good start this season, and playing great defense. Part of that is because Muzzin and the rest of the defenders block a ton of shots. Getting free fantasy points on the defensive end is never a bad thing. Muzzin is on the second defensive pairing, and the second power-play unit. Tons of ice time for him to rack up the points, and is great in a late night stack.

DFS Goalies to Consider

Craig Anderson - G, OTT vs DET (DK - $7,600, FD - $8,000)

Anderson is going to get the start tonight, so feel safe rostering him since its already confirmed. Anderson has four wins in nine starts this season, and is a -145 favorite at home. He is up against Detroit, who isn't the most threatening team in the league, so starting the goalie up against them is a good idea. Anderson is seeing about 30 shots per game, so plenty of time for him to rack up points, which is good, in case he lets one in.
