Daily Fantasy Basketball Lineup Picks (11/16/17): NBA DFS Advice for FanDuel, DraftKings

There are only two games tonight which means there is not much for me to say. You need the most productivity and a balanced budget if you are going to want to cash out. On nights like these, you need the perfect lineup. Just about every player will have a high ownership rate so the trick is to try and find the players that few others will pick, while also produce.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 11/16/17. The DFS lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays on DraftKings.

Find me in the RotoBaller #HOOPS CHAT ROOM, or @HalfCourtJester on Twitter.

DFS Guards to Consider

Trevor Ariza - SG/SF, HOU @ PHO (DK - $5,200, FD - $6,000)

To start off the overlooked list of players is Trevor Ariza. A streaky shooter that plays for a team that allows him to be useful in every matchup. The way the Rockets toss up threes, you can actually put hope into knowing Ariza will get shots. He has been playing well, but his energy level has taken a minor hit and he has been passing up shots late in the games. The Suns should not prove to be that much of a challenge so expect Ariza to put up a very modest, yet helpful statline.

Marcus Smart - SG/SF, GS @ BOS (DK - $5,500, FD - $5,800)

Marcus Smart is not a scorer but his versatility allows him to be a great play every night. His defense guarantees him minutes and he is often times rewarded for his efforts. He is going to have his hands full tonight, but that also means he will be around the ball more than anyone. With an upside in steals against a very turnover team, Smart is going to have little ownership. The Warriors should beat the Celtics, but the way Boston has been playing, do not be surprised if Smart exceeds his projection and manages to do it through hustle stats.

DFS Forwards to Consider

Luc Richard Mbah A Moute - SF, HOU @ PHO (DK - $3,400, FD - $3,900)

This is an extremely risky play, but his price and spot in the rotation makes this inevitable. He can score, gets the ball and even has ex-teammate Chris Paul back in the lineup. LRMAM is not necessarily consistent when it comes to offense, but like Smart, his defense leads to offense. Many times those possessions end up with an easy corner three for LRMAM if he can manage to get 20FPTS tonight, he breaks his ceiling. Did I mention the Rockets are playing the Suns?

Draymond Green - PF, GS @ BOS (DK - 7,300, FD - $8,900)

Great price for his value. If Steph Curry is back, that means one more player for him to pass to. If Curry is not available, that means Draymond gets to shoot. Either way, Green is walking stats and since he can produce without scoring, Green is the perfect option for a forward that does not completely break the bank. Regardless of who he gets matched up on, Green has the edge. The Warriors offense is going to be a lot for the Celtics to handle and chances are they let Green try to beat them with his perimeter shhooting.

DFS Centers to Consider

Tarik Black - C, HOU @ PHO (DK - $3,500, FD - $3,300)

Another super risky play, but also a decent pivot since Clint Capela will likely get 100% ownership tonight. Capela is hard to pass up but Black offers that same type of skill set. Black clogs the paint, blocks shots and is looking for rebounds. If he can capitalize on second chance points against a weak Phoenix frontcourt, then Black is going to be a sneaky, solid play.

Aron Baynes - C, GS @ BOS (DK - $3,700, FD - $3,400)

In Horford's absence, Baynes was an ideal replacement. Now that the Celtics are taking not he NBA's elite in the Warriors, Baynes' production will depend on Brad Stevens ability to stay big against the Warriors "small ball." Of all the risky plays, this one is completely dependent on Brad Stevens and Baynes playing solid defense against the Warriors. If Stevens feels like fighting fire with fire, Baynes will likely not get a lot of minutes. The way the Celtics have been playing expect Baynes to see around 20-25 minutes and scrape at a double-double.
