Daily Fantasy Baseball Streamers - MLB Hitter, Pitcher Lineup Picks for Tuesday 6/29

Top daily fantasy baseball streamers and waiver wire adds for 6/29/21. Mike Marteny identifies MLB hitters and starting pitchers to stream based on matchups.

Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for Freddy Peralta or streaming Manning yesterday, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.

It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.

We have seven pitchers owned in more than 90% of leagues and another eight that are owned in more than half of ESPN leagues. That leaves the other half to us streamers that are available in less than half the leagues out there.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

Hitter Streamers for 6/29 - Shallow Leagues

Nate Lowe (1B, LHB, TEX) - 48.9% Rostered

Matchup: at OAK RHP James Kaprielian

Lowe has been on base at least once every game since June 11 with seven runs scored, two homers, and eight RBI in that span. Kaprielian has been very effective so far in his career, but Lowe is hitting .400 over the last week. There hasn't been a lot of counting stats in there, but we can all use a boost to the average from time to time.

Keston Hiura (1B/2B, RHB, MIL) - 45.1% Rostered

Matchup: vs. CHC RHP Zach Davies

Hiura was really struggling before getting sent down to the minors for over a month. With Dan Vogelbach landing on the IL, Hiura now has some consistent playing time coming his way. Since returning to the majors, Hiura is hitting .323 with three homers, five runs scored, and nine RBI. He is worth picking up to see if he can recapture some of the magic of his rookie season. This kind of power at 2B can be intoxicating.

Hunter Renfroe (OF, RHB, BOS) - 40.7% Rostered

Matchup: vs. KC RHP Brad Keller

Renfroe is back at it again. He is hitting .400 over the last week with three homers, nine RBI, and five runs scored. Keller has had some big issues with home runs lately, allowing four in his last three starts. Keller has surrendered 21 runs in just 20.1 innings pitched in his last four turns through the rotation. Most Boston hitters are owned already, but poaching a guy like Renfroe, who has quietly moved up to the five or six slot in the order, could be a big boost for you in the short term.

Myles Straw (OF, RHB, HOU) - 30.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. BAL LHP Alexander Wells

Straw is riding a seven-game hitting streak during which he is hitting .462 with seven runs scored, a homer, four RBI, and three steals. Steals can be hard to come by, especially without hurting your average. Straw is in a very potent lineup against a team with a horrible bullpen that is going with a bullpen game. I want a lot of Houston. Straw is just one of the few that is available for free.

Hitter Streamers for 6/29 - Deeper Leagues

Brendan Rogers (2B/SS, RHB, COL) - 11.2% Rostered

Matchup: vs. PIT RHP Chase De Jong

Rogers is hitting .389 with a homer and three RBI in the last week, all in road games. A trip back to Coors could be very good for him, you know, considering he's hitting on the road and all. That's unusual for a Colorado player. Rogers has actually hit three of his four homers on the road. He's worth picking up to see if he can stay hot at home as well.

Jesus Sanchez (OF, LHB, MIA) - 9% Rostered

Matchup: at PHI RHP Vince Velasquez

Velasquez has allowed 19 runs over 20.1 innings in his last five starts. An alarming number of walks contributes to this, but he's not missing a lot of bats either. The 5.18 home ERA is surprising considering he has only allowed two homers there, but it's summer in Philly. That's when the ball really starts to fly there. Sanchez has two homers in his last 29 at-bats and has reached base safely in all but two of the 11 games he has played in. He should get you a little something today.

Garrett Cooper (1B/OF, RHB, MIA) - 6% Rostered

Matchup: at PHI RHP Vince Velasquez

Cooper is 4-7 with four runs scored, a homer, and two RBI in two games and once pinch-hitting appearance since coming off the IL. What rust? Cooper was having a solid season once again before he landed on the injured list with a lumbar strain. Considering that he hit the ground running and has a date with Velasquez tonight, I'm really liking his chances to keep the hot streak going.

Taylor Trammell (OF, RHB, SEA) - 2.7% Rostered

Matchup: vs. TOR LHP Robbie Ray at Buffalo

Each of Trammell's last three hits are home runs. Yeah, all of them were solo jobs, but are you really going to complain about him being 3-8 with three solo homers in the last three games? I didn't think so. Ray racks up a lot of strikeouts, but he has allowed 18 homers in 14 starts. Before you start blaming it on Dunedin and Buffalo, don't. Ray only allowed six of the 18 homers in those two parks. Trammell either hits a homer or strikes out, so he's going to be contributing heavily to Ray's stat line one way or the other tonight.

Pitcher Streamers for 6/29 - Shallow Leagues

Joe Ross (RHP, WAS) - 18.9% rostered

Matchup: vs. Tampa

Ross hasn't allowed a run in three of his last four starts. The Mets got to him some with a pair of homers, but there has been some very positive signs for Ross lately. He has 26 strikeouts in 26 innings over those four starts and has only walked four batters. The WHIP is coming down and the strikeouts are going up. Ross currently has the highest strikeout rate (23.2%) of his career. Now he gets a Tampa team that loses the DH coming to Washington. I'm a big fan of Ross today no matter what kind of fantasy baseball you play.

Caleb Smith (LHP, ARI) - 18.5% rostered

Matchup: at St. Louis

Smith has been a nice find for Arizona. He has only given up more than three runs once in his six starts this season. He has 32 strikeouts in 28.2 innings in those starts while giving up eight runs. Those are numbers we can work with. Smith still has some issues with walks, but the Cardinals are hitting just .208 as a team with a .283 OBP in the month of June. They have also hit just 17 homers in 25 games. Smith is a risk worth taking here.

Pitcher Streamers for 6/29- Deeper Leagues

Tony Santillan (RHP, CIN) - 3.1% rostered

Matchup: vs. San Diego

When a guy holds his own against the Braves in a hitter's park like Great American Small Park, I take notice. Santillan holds a 3.29 ERA in his first three major league starts with 16 strikeouts in 13.2 innings pitched. The walks are still a bit of an issue, but striking out eight Braves in six innings is pretty impressive. Santillan might hurt your WHIP a little, but he has been very effective in his two home starts. There's good strikeout potential here.
