Welcome to another edition of our daily fantasy baseball streamers! Are you playing in leagues with daily moves and looking to beef up those rosters? We here at RotoBaller are there for you and all of your streaming needs. Whether you are just trying to get that elusive category win or you are trying to make up for Yu Darvish getting trashed last night, we can help. Each day, RotoBaller will provide you with some of the best streaming options to consider in both shallow and deep fantasy baseball daily leagues. Streaming hitters and pitchers to exploit matchups are important to help you win your league.
It is important to know your league if you're going to stream. I'm not just talking about which teams your leaguemates root for. I'm talking about whether strikeouts count against you for hitters or if fielding stats are included. Most importantly, you need to know how many transactions you have per week. You don't want to blow your allotment within a couple of days. You can also use these recommendations to help build your DFS lineups. This article will use rostered percentages and position eligibility from ESPN leagues.
We have just three pitchers who are owned in more than 90% of leagues and another five that are owned in more than half of ESPN leagues. That leaves us a whopping 22 pitchers to choose from. Is there anything good in this scrap heap, or is today just a garbage day for pitching? We'll dive into that later, but first, the hitters:

Hitter Streamers for 7/9 - Shallow Leagues
Willy Adames (SS, RHB, MIL) - 49.2% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CIN LHP Wade Miley
For those of you late to the Adames party, welcome! I've been hosting for about a month in these pages. Adames is hitting .290 with nine homers, 30 RBI, 27 runs scored, and two steals in 45 games as a Brewer. He's not slowing down. In fact, Adames seems to just be heating up. He has four homers in the last two weeks with nine RBI, 12 runs scored, and a steal. He is also hitting .333 in that span. Don't jump off now! This party's just getting started!
Cesar Hernandez (2B, RHB, CLE) - 33.7% Rostered
Matchup: vs. KC RHP Brad Keller
The only team that Keller has managed to be decent against is the Twins. In his four starts against them, he has allowed 11 earned runs. In his other 14 starts, he has allowed 52 of them. Three of his last eight starts have come against the Twins. In the games that weren't against them, Keller allowed 26 runs in 25.1 innings. I'll gladly take the leadoff guy who is hitting .293 with two homers, seven RBI, and eight runs scored in the last ten games.
Eric Haase (C/OF, RHB, DET) - 25.9% Rostered
Matchup: at MIN RHP Kenta Maeda
Maeda looked like his old self in his last start. It was against the Royals. Big deal. Haase has four homers in the last seven games with 13 RBI and eight runs scored. That doesn't even take into account the .333 average in those seven games. Maeda has allowed 11 homers in 13 starts this year, so it's not like people can't get to him. The thing that stands out to me is the awful 1.45 WHIP. That means Haase is going to get plenty of chances to pad that RBI total tonight.
Jace Peterson (1B/2B/OF, LHB, MIL) - 23.2% Rostered
Matchup: vs. CIN LHP Wade Miley
Peterson is hitting .300 with two homers, six RBI, six runs scored, and a steal in the last week. One of those homers was off of Jacob deGrom. Let's just put him in the Hall of Fame now, yeah? Save some time. If this dude can take deGrom deep, I'm not the slightest bit worried about a lefty on lefty matchup against Miley. Besides, Peterson is hitting .333 against lefties this year.
Hitter Streamers for 7/9 - Deeper Leagues
Starlin Castro (2B/3B, RHB, WAS) - 16.3% Rostered
Matchup: at SF RHP Logan Webb
We see this about once a year, don't we? Castro has an 11-game hitting streak and has at least one hit in all but three games over the last 25 days. Not only that, Castro has three consecutive multi-hit games and is hitting .447 in his current hitting streak with eight runs scored, a homer, and 11 RBI. As long as he keeps hitting for a high average, we can work with this. Just keep in mind that Castro doesn't have much for power or speed left at the age of 31. He can help your average, runs scored, and RBI though.
Jake Fraley (OF, LHB, SEA) - 16.3% Rostered
Matchup: vs. LAA RHP Alex Cobb
It was a slow series against the Yankees for Fraley, but I'm jumping back on here. In his only career game against Alex Cobb, he hit a grand slam off of him back on June 5. Fraley has hit five more homers since then to bring his season total to seven. Two of those have come already in July and he has seven RBI in seven July games. Cobb has gone in the opposite direction. He has allowed 12 runs in 20.1 innings since that game against Seattle that featured Fraley's slam. Let's see if he can do it again!
Garrett Cooper (1B, RHB, MIA) - 11.9% Rostered
Matchup: vs. ATL RHP Charlie Morton
Cooper should go on the IL more often. Since his return on June 25, Cooper is hitting .485 with four homers, nine RBI, and nine runs scored. Cooper finished off the series with the Dodgers by picking up five hits in the last two games including two homers. One of those four homers came in the series at Atlanta last week. Ride this hot streak while it lasts.
Elvis Andrus (SS, RHB, OAK) - 11.5% Rostered
Matchup: at TEX RHP Jordan Lyles
Elvis has only left the building twice this year, but both times have been in the last six games. This is unusual for Andrus, who has just 78 homers in 13 major league seasons. Elvis is hitting .346 in that six-game stretch with those homers, four RBI, four runs scored, and a steal. Jordan Lyles has been better of late, but I'll ride the hot streak of a guy who spent his first 12 seasons with the Rangers. There could be some revenge in the air.
Pitcher Streamers for 7/9 - Shallow Leagues
Zach Thompson (RHP, MIA) - 42.3% rostered
Matchup: vs. Atlanta
Thompson holds a nice 2.25 ERA through his first five major league starts. Two of those have come against the Braves, so I'm not too worried about them. Thompson started at Atlanta last week and gave up a respectable three runs on five hits and a walk in six innings while striking out six. He faced Atlanta in Miami on June 12 and was even better, holding the Braves to just four hits in five innings while striking out six. Thompson does a great job of limiting baserunners and has 31 strikeouts in 24 major league innings. He should be owned in far more leagues than he is.
Pitcher Streamers for 7/9 - Deeper Leagues
Paolo Espino (RHP, WAS) - 1.4% rostered
Matchup: at San Francisco
Espino has made four appearances as a starter this year and only allowed four runs in 17.2 innings pitched while striking out 12. Five of those strikeouts came in 3.1 innings against the Giants back on June 11. Espino isn't a high strikeout guy, but are you really expecting one at this kind of ownership? His 2.48 ERA and 0.93 WHIP suggests that he can at the very least help our ratios even if he doesn't stick around long enough for the win. However, he has pitched 9.1 innings over his last two outings, so we should see five solid out of Espino tonight.
