Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/27/17): MLB Advice for FanDuel, DraftKings

We have an 11 game slate this Wednesday, in the last full week of the regular season. Some clear top options on the mound, and some teams who are still in the playoff hunt. We have a bit of rain across parts of the northeast, which has the potential to impact a few games, so keep an eye on that.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/27/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DFS_Tom and be sure to follow @RotoBallerMLB for year-round fantasy baseball news, articles, and advice.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Luis Severino - P, NYY vs TAM (DK - $12,400, FD - $10,300)

Severino left his last start early after being hit with a ball, but all signs point to him taking his normal start today. In his last 14 starts, Severino has given up four or more earned runs only once. That is an incredible streak, and has another very favorable match up today. He is up against the Rays who have a 24.8% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching, which is third worst in the league. This puts Severino, who is a big time strikeout pitcher, in a prime spot. We could see him go for 10 or more strikeouts tonight, which puts him as one of the top options. He is playable in cash or GPP, since he is super consistent and has plenty of upside due to his match up.

Garrett Richards - P, LAA @ CWS (DK - $7,900, FD - $8,200)

Richards isn't a player I've looked to since he came back from his long DL stint, but he has put up good numbers, and is in a solid spot tonight. In his four starts since his return, he has only given up four earned runs, and racked up 20 strikeouts. Impressive stuff after being away for nearly five months, and is up against the White Sox who have a 23.7% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitching. The White Sox aren't a team that should scare you, since they are weaker offensively, and a good team to pick on. Richards is a bit down in price, so if you don't mind fading the top options, he is very viable.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Russell Martin - C, TOR @ BOS (DK - $3,500, FD - $2,900)

Martin is in a nice spot tonight, as he is up against a pitcher who is giving up a .334 wOBA to right-handed hitters, and is at a great hitters park. Martin has hits in three of his last five games, and comes into today with a .343 wOBA and a .182 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. Relatively cheap, with a good match up, viable in both formats.

Joey Votto - 1B, CIN @ MIL (DK - $5,300, FD - $4,100)

Votto hasn't hit a home run in nine games, which makes you think he is due for one. He is up against a pitcher who is giving up a .344 wOBA to left-handed hitters, and this game is in Milwaukee, which is a great hitters park. Votto himself has a .428 wOBA and a .251 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. Absolute monster this season, and if you can afford him, don't pass him up.

Daniel Murphy - 2B, WAS @ PHI (DK - $4,900, FD - $3,400)

Murphy was out of the lineup yesterday, so he should be set to return to his starting spot tonight. Murphy has hits in four of his last six games, including one home run. Murphy has a .388 wOBA and a .236 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers. He is great in cash games, but also can be rolled out in a stack of Nationals.

Josh Donaldson - 3B, TOR @ BOS (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,700)

Donaldson is on fire right now, as he has three home runs over his last two games, and his price is too low on both sites. He has a .389 wOBA and a .263 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers, and is at a great hitters park. He should be a lock an load for most of your lineups tonight, due to the price and the match up.

Corey Seager - SS, LOS vs SDP (DK - $3,900, FD - $2,700)

Yes, Seager has been struggling over his last stretch of games, but his price is simply too low, especially on FanDuel. Seager still has a .383 wOBA and a .202 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, so the history of success is there, just a bit off his game recently. Potential to get him a low ownership due to recency bias, which is great for GPPs.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Adam Duvall - OF, CIN @ MIL (DK - $3,700, FD - $2,200)

Duvall has 31 HR and 97 RBIs this season, and he is WAY TOO CHEAP tonight. He is $2.2k on Fanduel, come on, that is just silly. This season in away games vs right-handed pitchers, he has a .325 wOBA and a .264 ISO. Great hitters park, and great stats to back up the pick.

Andrew Benintendi - OF, BOS vs TOR (DK - $4,600, FD - $4,200)

Benintendi has a .350 wOBA and a .362 OBP this season vs right-handed pitchers, and has scored five runs in his last six runs. The Red Sox have lost two straight games and need to rebound. With Betts potentially missing another game, Benintendi should take his spot in the lineup, and plenty of power upside in this lineup.
