Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (9/11/17): MLB Advice for FanDuel and DraftKings

The Monday after the first football Sunday, and there is still plenty of MLB to be played. We have am eight game slate to kickoff our week, with clear top pitching options, along with some interesting GPP choices. Take note, the Yankees @ Rays game is being played at Citi Field, due to the hurricane in Florida.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 9/11/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

If you have any questions or comments, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @DSF_Tom.

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Carlos Carrasco, vs DET (DK - $13,200, FD - $10,600)

Carrasco is the most expensive pitcher on the board tonight, but boy oh boy is he consistent. He has put up eight or more strikeouts in five of his last six starts and is up against the Tigers who strikeout 22% of the time vs right-handed pitching. The Detroit lineup really isn't all that threatening, they have traded away their star players, and are a good team to pick on. Carrasco has given up only two earned runs and zero walks over his last three starts. With the Indians surging right now, having a hot pitcher that gets run support, makes in viable in all formats.

C.C. Sabathia, @ TAM (DK - $8,000, FD - $7,100)

On a slate where there are fewer options, you have to be willing to take some risks, especially if you are in a GPP. Take note, this game is being played at Citi Field, due to the hurricane hitting Florida. With that said, Citi Field is a big time pitchers park shift for C.C., so he gains an advantage there. He is up against the Rays, who strikeout 26% of the time vs left-handed pitchers, which is the worst in the league. So there are some factors lining up for him, that he can take advantage of. He has six or more strikeouts in two of his last three starts. Total GPP play, not for cash games.

DFS Infielders to Consider

Chris Iannetta - C, ARI vs COL (DK - $3,600, FD - $2,500)

Iannetta had the day of on Sunday, so he should be set to return to the lineup tonight. Occasionally, we see Iannetta hit from the number two hole in the lineup, so he makes a great value at his price, and being a catcher in that spot. He is at home in a great hitters park, and has a .404 wOBA and a .219 ISO this season against left-handed pitchers. Great play in all formats.

Eric Hosmer - 1B, KAN vs CWS (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,900)

Hosmer has four multi-hit games in a row, and is racking up the fantasy points every time to the dish. He has a .404 wOBA and a .205 ISO this season vs right-handed pitchers, which makes him viable in all formats. He is up against a pitcher who is giving up a .366 wOBA to left-handed hitters, but its a small sample size.

Jonathan Schoop - 2B, BAL @ TOR (DK - $3,900, FD - $3,600)

Schoop is up against a pitcher who is giving up a .358 wOBA and 1.35 HR/9 to right-handed hitters this season. He is at a solid hitters park, and comes into this game with .356 wOBA and a .202 ISO vs right-handed pitchers. Schoop has 12 hits over his last 10 games, and makes a good cash option.

Evan Longoria - 3B, TAM vs NYY (DK - $3,500, FD - $3,300)

If you are a believer in BvP, then you will want to take a look at Longoria tonight. He has a .421 lifetime average vs Sabathia in 92 plate appearances. Longoria has struggled a bit vs left-handed pitchers this year, only a .282 wOBA, but his upside due to BvP, makes him a good GPP play.

Didi Gregorius - SS, NYY @ TAM (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,500)

Didi has a .359 wOBA and a .226 ISO vs right-handed pitchers this year, and comes into this game with hits in five of his last six games. Didi also has 10 RBI's over his last six games, and when the Yankees offense is clicking, you don't want to pass up a chance to get their player in your lineup. Negative park shift for the Yankees, but reminder, this game is being played at Citi Field, not in Tampa, due to the hurricane.

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Domingo Santana - OF, MIL vs PIT (DK - $3,800, FD - $3,000)

Always good to target hitters playing in Milwaukee, since its a favorable hitters park, and tonight is no different. Santana is right in the middle when it comes to pricing, and he comes into this game with a .368 wOBA and a .211 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers. Good for either format tonight.

Jay Bruce - OF, CLE vs DET (DK - $4,000, FD - $3,300)

Bruce vs right-handed pitchers is about as good of a match up as you can get. He has a .373 wOBA and a .282 ISO this season vs RHP, and with that type of power, he is a threat to go deep any night. Really like him in this spot, Indians are streaking, and a good hitters park.

Nelson Cruz - OF, SEA @ TEX (DK - $4,400, FD - $4,200)

Cruz is a big time power hitter, and when he can be away from Safeco Field, he gets a nice positive park shift. He has a .367 wOBA and a .179 ISO this season vs left-handed pitchers, and Cruz has a .348 lifetime average vs Hamels. Good hitters park, and good history vs the pitcher.
