Daily Fantasy Baseball Lineup Picks (10/18/17): MLB DFS Advice for FanDuel, DraftKings

We have a TWO game slate today. Yes, two games both on the same day for MLB post season. Short slate means you will have to take sides against a a pitcher, so either go with the chalk, or fade it for some risk.

In this article, I will be providing you with my daily fantasy baseball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 10/18/17. The lineup picks will range from some of the elite players to mid-priced options and value plays.

Let's get to it, shall we?

DFS Starting Pitchers to Consider

Jake Arrieta - CHC vs LOS (DK - $7,600, FD - $8,500)

If you are willing to fade the top options at pitcher tonight, Arrieta makes an interesting play. He didn't look amazing in his last start against the Nationals, but today he is against a Dodgers team who has a 22.3% strikeout rate vs right-handed pitchers. He is clearly the riskiest play on the slate, but with so few options, you have to be willing to take a stand on a player to get an edge, especially in GPPs. Fade the chalk, and take the risk.

 

DFS Infielders to Consider

Justin Turner - 3B, LOS @ CHC (DK - $4,400, FD - $4,200)

Turner has hits in every post season game this year, including three multi hit games. If you don't roster Arrieta, Turner is as close to a must play as you can get. He has five RBI's over the last two games, and seems to be in a groove. He has a 125 wRC+ vs right-handed pitching this season, and only an 11% strikeout rate.

Addison Russell - SS, CHC vs LOS (DK - $3,400, FD - $3,400)

Russell had a home run in Sunday's game two, and with him a good price, he fits nicely in roster construction for tonight. The Cubs bats still seem bound to break out at some point, so going with a player who could be lower owned is always important. Russell has a .346 wOBA against left-handed pitchers this season.

 

DFS Outfielders to Consider

Aaron Judge - OF, NYY vs HOU (DK - $4,400, FD - $3,600)

Judge seems to be heating up, as he has home runs in two straight games, and when he gets hot, you don't want to fade him. He is at home in a great hitters park, and comes into this game with a .396 wOBA and a .265 ISO vs left-handed pitching. The momentum is with the Yankees, and you never walk away from a heater.

George Springer - OF, HOU @ NYY (DK - $4,700, FD - $4,000)

Simply put, the Astros need a win, they can't lose three straight games. Springer was a stud for them all season, and they NEED him to step up. He has only one hit this series, which is awful, so there is some risk here. He had a fantastic series vs Boston, needs to recapture some of that magic.
