Counter Strike: Global Offensive DFS Picks (12/19/20) - FanDuel, DraftKings Daily Fantasy

Koby's DraftKings. DFS lineup picks for Early Morning Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on 12/19/20. He analyzes CS:GO slates and top targets for eSports DFS contests.

Hello Esports enthusiasts and welcome to our Esports coverage of CS:GO DFS! The Final Major Tournament of the year is upon us! The IEM Global Challenge has 8 teams: Vitality, Astralis, Natus Vincere, Heroic, BiG, FURIA, Complexity, and Liquid. These are some of the best teams in the world as they battle it out for the $500,000 prize. We have contests every day this week and ill be your guide! My name is Koby and I'll be here to help make those tough decisions on who to play and who not to play in your DFS contests!

Today we saw a double upset as Astralis and Team Liquid took down their opponents and therefore advancing in the tournament to the semi-finals. With that being the case, this will be the final slate for CS:GO of the year, the next tournament starts January 18th! I hope everyone has a Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! So let's get right into it! Today I'll be bringing you my Counter-Strike: Global Offensive DFS lineup picks, analysis, and advice for eSports DFS contests on FanDuel and DraftKings for Saturday, December 19th at 7:00 AM ET.

CS:GO DFS Picks

Best of 3 Series

  • Natus Vincere (+115) vs. Astralis (-155)
  • BiG  vs. Team Liquid

Captain Plays:

S1mple: We somehow get S1mple at a discount tomorrow as he is cheaper than both Syrson and Device. In the last 4 meetings against Astraliis, S1mple has gone +13, +37, +23, and +13. They have split meetings 2-2 in the last three months, so this match could really go either way. But the advantage we have with s1mple is his ability to go positive in games that are looking like losses. S1mple makes for a great one-off as he is getting 50+ kills quite often and that's a lot of points and if NAVI can pull off a win that adds to s1mple's ability score extremely well. His K/D is 1.58 and is getting .93 kills per round and a minimal .59 deaths per round.

Syrson: BiG has now pulled off 2 straight huge upsets and syrson went off against Astralis going +16 on the day and leading them to a very unexpected sweep. Syrson has a 1.21 K/D and is getting .74 kills per round and .61 deaths per round. Syrson has been playing very well over the last month only going negative in 2 matches over 13 games. They now get a little bit more of a favorable matchup against Team Liquid who seems to be up and down recently, getting destroyed by Natus Vincere and then turning around destroying FURIA just today. Syrson is a top player on his team and should definitely be considered as a pivot from S1mple and device as most will look to them to start their lineups.

Other captain plays: device, dupreeh, Tizian, NAF(GPP)

Value Plays:

Perfecto: Perfectos price is mainly the reason I've put him in this section, 8,900 for him in a game where it could go to three maps allows a lot of kills to be had. In the last two matches, he has looked a lot better and we are getting him at an extremely cheap price. At 8,900 we can manage to get just about anyone we want. You can also make a case for Boombl4 but Perfecto has a lot higher upside for only 300$ more. Perfecto is the 3rd best player on NAVI and he is over $1,000 cheaper than his last game. He has a 1.02 K/D and is getting about .61 kills per round and .60 deaths per round. If we can get a game where he gets at least close to even it will be worth his price.

Xantares: Thanks to Fanduel as they decided to give us Xantares at the worst player on team price even though he is a top 3 player on the team. Xantares has a 1.10 K/d and is getting .73 kills per round and .66 deaths per round. He is a player who can go off and drop a +20 kill day but also he can go negative at times. Most of the time his negative games are against teams that are Top 5 in the world. The matchup against TL is something he has a chance to take advantage of as he has a 1.16 match rating average against Top 20 teams.  His price is very intriguing for the amount of upside he can bring to the table and should be considered in all formats.

Other Value Plays: tizian, Stewie2k, k1to, gla1ve, Boombl4(PUNT)

Top Stacks/ Team Picks:

BiG: After their last two games they are definitely going to be a chalky stack. You don't simply knock off the No.1 and 2 teams in the world and expect to not have large odds coming in against the No. 17 team ranked in the world. They looked great against Astralis and barely pulled the game out against Vitality. All plays are really in play here. Tabsen has looked really off in recent games,  and if that trend continues, I don't want any of him. K1to has the potential to go off on the drop of a time but Xantares is cheaper than him on FD and would rather have him as he has a higher upside. Syrson and Tizian have been the best on BiG in the last month and probably the best place to start with a BiG stack. These two teams have never played each other, so who knows TL could pull off a significant upset and send themselves to the Finals.

Astralis: Both teams are in play here, Astralis is the more balanced team and that's why they are featured. dupreeh and device have been killing it recently and they are going to need both players to go off and hold off s1mple and friends from pulling off the upset. dupreeh and device were the only ones to go positive in their upset win against Vitality this morning where they won 2-1. This game is going to be very close and it could go either way, so it's going to be important to find the players that can do well in wins or losses. Xyp9x is still a sub-risk as he gets subbed out for Bubzjki on Nuke which has been picked 3 of the last 7 matches. So the risk is there. Magisk looked absolutely horrible today and will take a good game for me to take another serious look at him again. Gla1ve is always in play as he is very cheap.

Other Top Stacks/ Teams: Natus Vincere

Sub-Risks:

Natus Vincere: flamie, B1t

 Astralis: Xyp9x, Bubzjki
