There haven't been many more tight ends who have enjoyed the success that Charles Clay has this season, and there's no reason to think he should slow down this week. Clay has quickly become Tyrod Taylor's favorite target so far, and a banged-up Sammy Watkins means Clay could see even more targets against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Clay is coming off back-to-back double-digit performances against the Dolphins and Giants respectively, and he's only had one game this season where he finished with less than seven points in standard-scoring leagues. Clay has also averaged seven catches per game during his last two weeks, including a nine-catch performance last week where he finished with 111 yards and a touchdown. Watkins is still listed as "questionable" heading into the Bills' Week 5 matchup, which means the Titans could be in for a whole lot of Clay.
Percy Harvin will still get his share of looks from Taylor, but he isn't putting up the type of numbers that should make any fantasy owners reconsider starting Clay. The tight end has become the safety blanket for a few NFL teams, a safe bet for quarterbacks to throw to when nothing else is available, and that remains the case in Buffalo where Clay has been the best receiver on the team.
