ANALYSIS: Just when the last two seasons made it appear like we were closing the book on him, CC Sabathia has emerged yet again this season with fantastic results. In seven starts this year in New York, Sabathia has a 2.83 ERA, 1.234 WHIP, 2.99 FIP, and is allowing just 0.2 HR/9, which is phenomenal considering his home field is power-friendly Yankee Stadium. The key to his success has been his ability to limit power. So far in 2016, he has allowed an opponent slugging percentage of just .308, while producing a HR percentage of just 0.6% and an XBH percentage of just 5.1%. Sabathia has been downright dominant on the road with a 2.52 ERA, 1.120 WHIP, while allowing a slugging percentage of just .250; but has still been solid in New York with a 3.31 ERA, 1.408 WHIP, and allowing just a .382 SLG. The former AL Cy Young winner has been back in top form, and if he can continue to limit XBH, he will continue to be a fantastic option for fantasy owners.
