CBB DFS: Main DraftKings Daily Fantasy College Basketball Picks - Today's Top Lineups (1/31/24)

Zach Edey - CBB DFS Picks, NCAA Daily College Fantasy Basketball

Today's Main DraftKings CBB DFS lineup picks for 1/31/24. Mike's top daily fantasy college basketball sleepers to build winning NCAA DFS lineups on DraftKings.

We have another busy Wednesday night with 14 games on tap. Unfortunately, DraftKings made it very main slate heavy tonight. 12 of the 14 games take place on the main slate when they could just as easily added the 8 p.m. and later start times to the night slate and split it evenly at seven and seven. DraftKings needs to hire me. Seriously. This is just dumb. We have three games that start early tonight with Alabama in Athens to take on Georgia, St. John's in Cincinnati to take on Xavier, and Northwestern in West Lafayette to tangle with Purdue.

The usual window has Baylor in Orlando to take on UCF. Cincinnati heads to Morgantown to take on West Virginia. Wake is up in Pittsburgh to take on the Panthers. Notre Dame heads to Charlottesville to take on Virginia. Florida is up in Lexington to take on Kentucky. Arkansas heads to Columbia to take on Missouri. Providence is in Storrs to take on UConn. Penn State heads to Jersey to take on Rutgers. We close this out in Auburn with Vanderbilt in town.

In this article, I will provide you with my daily fantasy college basketball lineup picks for DraftKings on 1/31/24, starting at 6:30 p.m. EST. I’ll provide multiple player suggestions at guard and forward, aiming to highlight one option at the salary scale's high, middle, and lower levels. Good luck, RotoBallers.

Today's DraftKings Guards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Boo Buie, Northwestern ($8,700)

Sure, both of those games went to overtime, but Buie had huge numbers in regulation, too. Only Nebraska has held Buie under 30 DraftKings points since January 9. Buie's numbers are significantly better at home, but they are still solid on the road and Purdue still doesn't defend the perimeter well. He's the kind of player that Purdue can really have trouble with. That's why he had 31 points against them the first time around. I still think Buie will wind up in the mid-30s for DraftKings points tonight. Not a bad return for the price.

Tramon Mark, Arkansas ($7,500)

The short-handed Razorbacks put up a spirited fight against Kentucky and South Carolina but ended up losing both. It gets a bit easier tonight against Missouri. Mark's inconsistency makes it hard to count on him, but he produces against teams that he should produce against. Auburn was the only team to hold him under 25 DraftKings points since Oklahoma on December 9 and he's hit the mid-40s in DraftKings points against A&M and Georgia. These two teams struggle in perimeter defense. Missouri is in that same situation. Mark should have a good game here tonight.

Jaland Lowe, Pittsburgh ($6,400)

Lowe supplanted Ishmael Leggett in the starting lineup and has given Pitt 66 points, 13 rebounds, 16 assists, six steals, and a block in four games. That's good for 121.75 DraftKings points. This isn't against the bottom of the ACC either. He has done this against Duke, Miami, Georgia Tech, and Syracuse. Wake is a fairly tough matchup, but it's not worse than anything else he's faced so far. Lowe is a great bargain at this price.

Adou Thiero, Kentucky ($4,300)

Thiero made his return against Arkansas over the weekend after missing five weeks. He was on a minutes limit and likely will be again. Now, the good news: Thiero hauled in six rebounds in 12 minutes of court time while also picking up a block. His shooting touch was a bit rusty, but that can be expected. If he tosses in a few points with those rebounds, Thiero has a floor of around 15 DraftKings points. I'll take that for a value play.

Also consider: Mark Sears, Alabama ($8,600); Tristen Newton, Connecticut ($8,500); Braden Smith, Purdue ($8,100); Ryan Dunn, Virginia ($7,600); Markus Burton, Notre Dame ($7,200); Will Richard, Florida ($6,800);  Dayvion McKnight, Xavier ($6,200); Tamar Bates, Missouri ($6,100); Jayden Pierre, Providence ($5,800); Nick Kern Jr., Penn State ($5,500); Khalif Battle, Arkansas ($5,100); Blue Cain, Georgia ($4,600)

Today's DraftKings Forwards - CBB DFS Lineup Picks

Zach Edey, Northwestern ($10,800)

Northwestern did beat Purdue in Evanston back on December 1, but Edey still had 60 DraftKings points. In the last four games that weren't blowouts, Edey has at least 50 DraftKings points and broke 60 twice. Good luck finding that production anywhere else. You're taking a massive risk not using Edey in every format.

Russel Tchewa, Georgia ($6,900)

Tchewa has posted back-to-back double-doubles for the Bulldogs against LSU and Florida. He has a shot at another one against Alabama tonight. The Tide like to get out there and run much like Florida did. They also live on the three-point line, which means more chances at rebounds and fewer Alabama players on the interior to try and grab them. I'm not worried about Tchewa's scoring. He's one of the more efficient shooters in the SEC. His double-double streak should continue tonight.

Makhi Mitchell, Arkansas ($4,900)

Mitchell was a monster against Kentucky, putting up 12 points and 13 rebounds in 32 minutes. That was easily Mitchell's best game of the season and his first double-double since November 13 against Old Dominion. Arkansas is looking for any kind of spark they can find. I'd be surprised if Mitchell didn't see big minutes again tonight. He's worth a shot at this price to see if he's broken out of his nearly season-long slump.

Thierno Sylla, Central Florida ($3,900)

Sylla played a season-high 29 minutes against Cincinnati thanks to Ibrahima Diallo picking up four fouls in six minutes. Sylla's minutes had been on the rise anyway. I doubt he sees 29 minutes again, but he could see close to 20 and he has 44.75 DraftKings points over the last three games. That's solid production for a guy priced this low.

Also consider: Josh Oduro, Providence ($8,100); Blake Hinson, Pittsburgh ($7,500); Donovan Clingan, Connecticut ($7,300); Jalen Bridges, Baylor ($6,600); Jordan Minor, Virginia ($5,900); Marchelus Avery, Central Florida ($5,500); Ugonna Onyenso, Kentucky ($5,100); Tae Davis, Notre Dame ($4,700); Mason Gillis, Purdue ($4,500)
