BALLER MOVE: Add in 12+ Team Leagues
ROSTERED IN: 11% of leagues
ANALYSIS: Washington Nationals rookie shortstop Carter Kieboom has been in and out of the lineup so far this year, but when he's been in, he's certainly delivered. Through three starts, Kieboom is hitting 4-for-9 with four runs, three walks, and three strikeouts. All four of his hits are singles and he's yet to register a barrel through six batted balls, but the solid contact hitting that his prospect profile forecasted has already started to manifest, and fantasy owners should start jumping on him soon.
Kieboom has hit seventh in each of his three starts so far and if he remains that low in the lineup, his fantasy upside will be limited. However, the Nationals might want to consider shaking up their lineup in the near future. Starlin Castro doesn't seem long for the three-spot in the lineup and Asdrubal Cabrera and Kurt Suzuki, who have been regularly hitting in the heart of the lineup, could stand to move down a bit, in favor of moving a high on-base hitter like Kieboom up toward the top.
Add Kieboom in leagues of 12 teams or larger. He should give you a solid boost in batting average in rotisserie and head-to-head categories leagues. Plus, he should deliver some power as well over the course of the year. He had a .902 OPS last year at Triple-A, tallying 16 home runs and 24 doubles over 109 games.
