BALLER MOVE: Add in 12-team leagues
ANALYSIS: In the first four games of his rookie season in 2016, Carson Wentz completed 91 of 135 passes for 1,007 yards, seven touchdowns, and just one interception. The initial results were promising enough that he became a popular waiver add at the end of the season's first month. The fade that followed, however, left him out of the roster-worthy QB discussion for the remainder of his rookie campaign.
There are a few reasons to believe that Wentz might take the next step in his sophomore season. For one, the Eagles QB suffered a shoulder injury that might have significantly hampered his effectiveness from Weeks 5-17 last year. For another, he did finish fifth overall in pass attempts with 607 in his first taste of NFL action. A year older, and a year more familiar with Frank Reich's offense, Wentz opened 2017 with an impressive game at the division rival Redskins completing 26 of 39 passes for 307 yards and a pair of scores, despite facing consistent pressure from Washington's front seven and making some of his most impressive throws on the run and under duress. Wentz is a high-end QB2 who needs to be owned in most leagues.
