Jacksonville Jaguars' quarterback Blake Bortles had another solid game from a fantasy perspective yesterday against the Houston Texans, throwing for 331 yards, three touchdowns, and three interceptions. He also added 37 rushing yards in the 20-31 loss.
Despite the fact that the Jaguars are not playing all that well from a football perspective, their propensity to fall behind in games has allowed Bortles to air the ball out on a consistent basis, which in turn gives him the ability rack up yards and touchdowns at a solid clip.
Receivers Allen Hurns, Allen Robinson, and now tight end Julius Thomas (who had seven receptions for 78 yards and one touchdown), have been the beneficiaries of the Jaguars' pass happy offense. In addition, despite the fact that he is far from a "running quarterback," Bortles has rushed for at least 10 yards in all but one game this year, which in turn makes an even more intriguing option.
